Kids today will never know the anticipation of these kind of jumps. Days, if not months of waiting, then if you're even able to see it live. For my generation (49yo) this was a big dang deal.

Rest in Peace Robbie. Thanks for the memories. Saw you in Phoenix late 80s. Just as wonderful as your dad was. Hope you are now reunited with your dad in Heaven.

This was appointment television. Growing up in 70’s….Evel Knievel was the man. I had the toys, I watched the specials. What a time. Rest In Peace, Robbie.

The one thing that I always remember Evil Knievel saying is that "he was a man of his word." Evel was my hero when I was a kid.

I grew up loving Evel Knievel! But I'm just realizing I was probably watching Robbie...lol I'm 44. I definitely had a Evel Knievel toy motorcycle. I was too young to realize it was Robbie's jumps I watched. They both are my heroes!

Keeping the front end of a CR500 down on pavement is a chore of its own.

There is no better moment than Evel talking to his son before the jump while hugging each other. Giving Robbie last minute advice and encouragement. So beautiful ❤️😊🙏 As a father of 25yrs, I can relate to this moment. Much love and respect to the Evel family❤️👍 What an accomplishment between both father and son….❤️

Robbie not only avenged Bob’s (Evel’s) crash, but the hardly-mentioned crash of Gary Wells.
