I met Robbie when I was bartending at a casino back in the 90’s. He and his crew were passing through and stayed overnight at the hotel there. It was a slow night and so I was able to visit with him and get to know him a little bit for a few hours. He was a super cool guy and a complete gentleman. He was a very spiritual and kind person. R.I.P. Robbie. May God bless you infinity 🙏

Robbie used to come over to my dad's house, and sometimes, we would go out to the desert where he would practice riding for upcoming shows. He would ride all over the area doing those super slow break stop wheelies. His girlfriend at the time would hang on in the back, and her hair would drag on the ground. It was incredible to watch. He was a great guy, an amazing bike rider, and he was always very kind to me. I haven't spoken to him in many years, which greatly saddens me hearing that he left us way too soon.

Thank you for the touching memorial to Robbie, I just turned 60 and had the honor being a rabid fan of Evel also, as a kid we would ride dirt bikes from sun up to sundown all summer long it seemed, but when Evel had a jump we would all gather at one kids house and all just be glued to the tv and holding our breath, but then when he made it we would all go blasting out the door so we could all pretend we were him, and then there's Robbie oh my gosh I had just as many oxygen robbing moments with him. I could feel your true sadness while doing this video, and my helmets off to you for being able to get through it as good as you did, I seriously doubt I could done as good of a job knowing that's his bike, I got chills a few times when you were riding it and I'm sure he was looking down and thanking you for riding his motorcycle the way it was meant to be ridden, Just what an incredible honor to be in possession of such a historical motorcycle. As far as the leave the motorcycle as is or restore it question, 🙏 please , please! leave it just the way it is , just as Robbie had it , the second you do anything, it's no longer Robbies bike, it's your's. If you asked me to pick my favorite between the father or son ? well they each have there super powers and brought me so much spine tingeling entertainment, but Evel was my hero growing up and I just have so many fond memories of that time of my life, I still remember one of the things Evel would say at a jump was always wear a helmet(before this I rode half the time without one),after that I always wore one, it was the seventies much simpler times, it was pre video games and the world was our playground, so sorry I got lost on memory lane for a moment and way off topic here, which was Robbie Knievel , I remember the morning my wife came in and told me she had just heard he had passed, (she knows I'm a huge fan ) I have a signed poster I got after we drove a few hours to watch Robbie jump at the Chinook Winds Casino in Lincoln City , Or, what a treat that was, so glad I stood in that very long line to get my poster signed, and he was very gracious , shook my hand , said a very warm and genuine hello and nice to meet you, I left feeling the appreciation and love he had for all his many! many!, fans. And I know this might seem weird but when my wife told me Robbie had passed, it just seemed it was truly the end of an era of true motorcycle super heroes, I know there's a few others that are awesome in there own right, but in my book no one could match the showmanship and mystique of Evel and Robbie Knievel, thanks so much for posting this video, it was so awesome to run acrossed this while searching for Robbie Knievel videos tonight , Thank you!!👍 👏 👍 😀

When I was a kid ( 11 or 12 years old Peoria Illinois ) my Dad hated Evel Kenieval because he was sick of having to get this older guy to fix our busted up bicycles . Wheelies and ramps just got longer and bigger . But ..that is why we learned to fix our own bikes and started to save for our motorcycles . I can't remember ever taking our motorcycles to the shop except for a rear wheel we smashed over a double jump . We hadn't learned to lace a rim yet . Thanks to you Evel and Robbie because of you we had a heck of a great life too ! PK

I watched Robbie and his dad's shows when I was a kid and it left a lasting impression on me for sure. I have countless injuries from going 100mph with my hair on fire and soaring a few stories above the earth. My last bad injury was in 2008 I cased a double and did the worm down the landing face at over 70mph broke my shoulder in 7 places, tore my infraspinatus tendon, dislocated my wrist, thumb, hip and cracked my sternum. My feet came up over my head and I slid on the top of my helmet feet vertical for over 35 feet. My son and buddy Fred thought for sure I had broke my neck and was dead. I got up shook it off and rode 3 more laps like that before packing it up. 29 weeks in physical therapy later I was back on a bike ripping it up. My wife doesn't understand my infatuation with MX bikes and why at 50 I still suit up and go play in the dirt. I told her this, "age is a number, youthfulness is a state of mind and passion is mind over matter, if I slow down, become over cautious for the rest of my life, then it will become very mundane, and I will die a miserable death." "If I die going for it in the dirt then at least I go out doing something exhilerating and that I am passionate about." Yes indeed, I am more than old enough to think better of the idea, but hell I'm still too young to give a damn and boy am I having fun! R.I.P Robbie, may you and your pops entertain the masses in Heaven with the greatest father & son stunt show on earth.

I remember back in the 90's Robbie Knievel was the guy to watch ! I always wanted a 2 stroke dirtbike but my dad always said I will never ever buy you a motorcycle ! But at the age of 30 I bought a blown 06 RM 250 for $400cdn that was basically in parts in 2 boxes. I got myself a shop manual and I rebuilt it from ground up. At 30 years old that was my first ever motorcycle and learning experience ! One of the highlights in my life for sure ! RIP Robbie you inspired me like hell when I was a kid !

Even bought another one when I sold that one to pay for my daughters braces !

I seen Robbie and Evil, at the Calgary international raceway in 1977, I was 11 years old. Caught Robbie mid flight with my Polaroid, jumping over 10 vans. Had Evils toy, watched the Toronto jump, where Robbie made his first appearance. And the Snake river canyon jump. Watched all of Robbies jumps, I always be a fan of theirs, God rest their souls, and thanks for the video.
