Lunchbox tips & tricks
☆ Preheat lunchbox for 30
minutes before using.
☆ If possible, preheat pan
☆ Place a cloth or towel under
stove while using to catch
any condensation that leaks
to the outside.
☆ Use hose clamps, or something
similar if you need to keep pan
off bottom while allowing the heat
to get to the pan.
Mine are 1 1/2" X 2 1/4"
☆ most recipes need to be covered
with aluminum foil.
☆ Keep the bottom of the lunchbox
lined with aluminum foil to make
spill clean up easier and to reduce
condensation on the outside of
the stove.
☆ PLAN YOUR MEALS IN ADVANCE!
☆ Y'all don't have to cook
everything in a pan! Some things
can be cooked directly on the
bottom of the stove.

Funny, I’ve been using the road pro oven for years and I never thought to preheat the dang thing. I guess an old dog can learn a new trick. Thank you.

Watched 4 reviews before. Yours, by far, is the most well informed "bestest" review. Oh, did I forget to mention those 4 reviews were by men? ;) Thanks a million.

I use foil in mine. Keeps it clean and I can toss the foil when done. I've also used two tins and put coins in the bottom of the one that makes contact with the hot part to keep food from burning. Made some brownies from the box using the coin trick. Turned out pretty good.

Good idea with the hose clamps. Also lining the bottom with tinfoil for easy clean. One buddy mentioned that he made an omelette with his lol. Also dollar store has cheap tinfoil pans that fit them well. Another fella said that bread pans fit if you don't want to buy the tinfoil ones. Be a mess to clean though. I like the tinfoil pan idea.

I've heard that people use the metal rings from canning jars but of course a trucker would use hose clamps, lol, so cool! Just found your channel when I was looking for a review of the oven. Love your channel. I subbed.

Thanks for the tip about the clamps! When you first pulled out the box I thought They were canning jar lids. I guess those would work, too, but the clamps are better on account of the slats which would allow some heat circulation. Thanks!

I've had mine since 2015. I have used it on long road trips. I have cooked all types of food. most take 2 hours to make. Since you have had yours just as long as mine I'm sure you have layered you're meals. so as an example. I use a foil container, place my meat at the bottom veggies on top. seal container with tin foil. I then use a small pyrex container with rice and place it on top of the bottom container. I wait 2 hours and It;s done. I dont use hose clamps to raise my container off the cooking surface. I ball up small pieces of tin foil to give me clearance, this prevents burning. you can also put water on the heating element as well to prevent burning.

easier to take a small piece of foil and roll into a small ball. Place 6 on the bottom of heat plate and rest your pan on top of foil pieces.
