This trip made me feel homesick. I used to drive through most of those places when I was a rep. Gods own country. Loved it, wouldn't want to live out there but a wonderful place to visit and drive through!!! I need to get a camera lens like yours. I've got a macro lens that I'm learning to use for close up stuff but distance is still to come

That first shot of driving into the morning sunrise with the spotties on was epic, it would make a great poster. The number of times I have fuelled up at that servo in Cobar, I never realised what nice salads they make. It's usually a pee, a can of Coke and a chocolate bar then hot foot it to Wilcannia for the night. Not that Wilcannia is a great destination, but it's a full daylight ride from Walgett on a bike when heading west. I rode Wilcannia to Emmdale in the dark once; it was terrifying, the roo's were crossing the road in convoys.
