You should have been going through The Gutter back in the '80's when old Nobby Clark was the "Heavy" or the Weights and Measures fellow and he had a very good imagination as to the "crimes" he would accuse truckies of committing, whether you had done them or not. It was a bit of a game to him. He had a Government issued F100 which was quite unreliable (who's surprised?) and he conned me into taking him into Iron Knob one day when it broke down on him out on the highway. Talking of how the train compares to road, one SCT train carries approximately 150 B Double loads, at least, and does the trip in around two days from Parkes to Perth, unloaded on the day it arrives and quite often delivered the same day depending upon when the client booked it into the receiving warehouse.

Hey as this is new ish ;was when the thick book came out; was Finemore and toll & Linfox were on the the bored of guv. So they had crappy trucks & had trouble getting & keeping drivers: then got guv to bring in all the curries & turbans with families to drive then and we didn’t like it and everyone else excepted it and as the Cops in-forced that we were stuck with it & that’s Y . The speed limit was knocked back to a dollar2 where we used to do a dollar six or more . Even up to $10 down hill now we get dun & companies to; so only good thing about that.. keep the sunny side up & keep on the brake top. Thx Ashton Ausy driving for 20 years

Great footage, Johnno, but almost impossible for me to understand the audio with the 909 being so loud inside the cab; just a bit of feedback. Tony from WA, who does these POV and audio videos exclusively had the same problem for the short time he drove a KW. They gave him a new Volvo which is much quieter and he invested in a couple of good mics, so the problem is now solved for him. Question: Myself and a buddy will soon be departing on the annual motorcycle Border Run which meets up at the Border Village on the Eyre Highway. We usually stop at the big BP in Pt Augusta for fuel and a bit of a feed, but you have mentioned previously of a place that you prefer that serves up good meals, so I thought we might try that one for a change.
