The original movie is basically a neo-western (Swayze stated that he wanted to do a western and that the script of Road House was the closest thing to the genre he could find). It's not exactly a great movie, but it's enjoyable. I'm not interested in seeing the remake.

It seemed strange from the get go that they wanted to remake this movie especially hearing what you’re saying about the original. I think you’ll be ok missing the remake.
