The idea of kindness in the film shocked me because i never thought in that way. I never associate kindness with submission, obviously in the film the concept is carried at his extreme, but it works. The first script is my favourite, I think is the most straightforward to understand, i don’t get completely the other two, there are especially in the third a lot of religious/esoteric themes so i think i need a rewatch. In conclusion is a good film, with a dark view that suits the style of the director.

I agree with you on so many points here. Yorgos is a director that deals with extremes to really bring home the messages in his films and he does push that here. I think the first story is the best too, it just had the right combination of themes, whacky moments and intriguing characters that really worked. 2 and 3 are fine to me but do get a little wishy washy at points until the final moment of the movie which I thought blatantly told us what he was getting at with the story. It was a great movie even if it was flawed and I am interested in checking it out again to have even more of a clear focus of the narrative.

@@kaneeddy It’s not too much time that I’m into movies but this is the second film of Yorgos (Poor Things was the first) and the greek director loves to made long films, Kind of Kindness have a length of 164 alike Poor Things. At some point in both films some scenes were really boring, (2 and 3 scripts have a lot of this moment), i think Yorgos want to test his audience 😅

Good review, but I'm curious to hear what you thought was so obvious about the mid-credit RMF scene. I have my own ideas about it, but a lot of people seem to be unsure what the significance - if any - there was to it. You made it sound like the film was beating you over the head to drive a point home, but that's not really the vibe I've gotten from hearing other people discuss it.

Thank you so much, I do think on the metaphorical side RMF leaves a lot of room for speculation. But for me RMF is just the tangible link between these stories to illustrate that they all exist in the same world. I believe Yorgos spoke on the character in a similar fashion just mentioning it was just fun element that links the stories. Kinds of Kindess is already linked thematically through the stories themselves but I had suspected that the characters while played by the same actors represent different types of people. I had already suspected this and when it reveals in that scene that the character is still RMF to me was just that confirmation. It is definitely fun but I didn’t really need it personally. If you do look at this like the rest of the movie trying to analyse the deeper meaning behind the character that is where you get the varied thoughts and opinions. But sometimes Yorgos is just playful and not everything has a deeper meaning and I am fine thinking that is all RMF is. I know there are theories that also work like how he represents the key element of Kindness in each story which can be plausible and I am having fun looking into that as well.

I'm a little disappointed it's not the Emma Stone show as it was marketed that way. Jesse is a great actor, but not as next level as Emma can be. If they had just marketed Jesse Plemons as the lead I wouldn't be as disappointed I think.

I also thought the marketing was a little misleading and can see how that would be disappointing especially seeing how phenomenal Emma Stone was in Poor Things. I did really love what Jesse Plemons did in this film though.

@@kaneeddy So the main character’s dog is stolen by these two cult leaders (who are naked!) And the cults worship this tree that they also sacrifice to! (I wanna name the thing “house of the cult!”) And after the main character kills one of the cult leaders the female cult leader EATS HIS HEART!!! And turns into this creepy angel to kill our main character!
