They keep Jacho from me because I am too eager to ask them questions as to why they think my water bottle is more important to patient safety versus the patient staff ratio in the hospital. I snapped at a Jacho person when they asked why my unplugged heating pad was under my workstation, I hollered "because I am hemmorrhaging from uterus and it is exceptionally painful but we are too short-staffed for me to call out! So its either this, or one less nurse!". ... They had no further questions.

To a female nurse: You know, heat can cause so much more bleeding......I was putting a hot water on my lower body to soothe cramps...and lost an unnormal amount of blood....just telling.....❤ Stay healthy......

I work for the state of Texas as an ER nurse in a university hospital. It's even worse. We not only have Joint Commission but we also have "mock" inspectors that all work for the state but have no clue what's going on so they just make up rules. They took our coffee maker and microwave from the break room because they said it might be a fire hazard. Meanwhile these same administrators have Kurigs and mini-fridges in their offices right around the corner from the ER.
