Hello! Thanks for finding my channel. I'm Blake :-) I record and post videos based on my experiences as a nurse in hopes to bring humor to others in the healthcare field. Our jobs are challenging and difficult so I started creating content as an outlet for me to connect with others. My first video was the Scrub Romper which I posted back in 2017. I had no idea that it was going to go viral and be watched by so many people. This inspired me to keep making more content and to also find ways to bring nurses together at live events. I created NurseCon at Sea which is the Ultimate Nursing Conference that takes place annually on a cruise ship with thousands of nurses. We offer fully accredited CNEs taught by amazing educators in addition to hosting theme nights, game shows, meet ups, and EPIC parties! I also take my comedy on the road; I'm coming to over 100 cities later this year on my SHOCK ADVISED Comedy Tour, be sure to get your tickets!

Wow, these people are dicks! Respect to you and all the Drs and Nurses ❤
Sorry
Why do patients feel like they’re free to abuse the people taking care of them?
This was me asking if a patient on a normal diet cou!g have their big water cup refilled. Especially those first few weeks of clinicals you're terrified to do anything wrong.
I'm sorry, but a 150 page POC is completely over doing it. Especially for multiple patients. Unless the patient needs a nursing intervention on how to take their blanket off each time they shift in bed. Also, nursing students may have only 1-2 patients so they can play teacher's pet. I can say this because when I was that student. And when I got an actual nursing job I realized that 2-3 page care plans are fine. And much less stressful
Your job must be so much fun!❤😂
For me it was great to start night shift during the first few years of being a nurse. It gave me time to read the patients charts, understanding the plan, reading progress notes and gaining confidence. I loved night shift but after a while it was affecting me.. sleeping during the day, being exhausted....some night we're crazy busy where I'd leave at 8:00 am . And yes some patients go cucu at night..then I went to day shift and it was Crazy busy, but there was more staff. I didn't like the micromanagement and the pressure to discharge pts to admit more . I then went from bedside hospital nursing to Outpatient surgery center which is more relaxed. I like it.
Lol I was "the reviewer" hahha
My husband and I appreciate his nursing staff 100%. However, I don't like that this one is posting like this.
I trust nurses way more than doctors. Doctors don't really do anything at all. 😂
😮 😂 oy! Thank you for all you do. Take care .. When my aunt was failing, her nurses were such a blessing.❤ Thank you all
The strength it takes to deal with these people! Hug.
And this here is why I still prefer to care for my Geri patients. Less verbal abuse…. But a hefty dose of casual racism and non- stop Fox News still makes the day easier. lol
I'm so glad i'm not a nurse anymore😂
Nurses do all the work, but doctors take all the credit. I'm a paramedic and had a patient refuse to have me treat him because I was a woman. No, it was nothing cultural. He was just an asshole. You would think the 4 bullets he had been hit with would have been more concerning but whatever
Nice teeth.
Blake, some people SUCK. That’s just the bottom line. I think any person working as a nurse should be respected and THANKED for their care and diligence. I thank you.
What can I say, people are......well you know.
Know that there are people who appreciate all nurses and what they do!
Oh my goodness! That is so rude and unthankful! You have all my sympathy. You"re not supposed to look glamorous.
Not smart enough for medical school?! Do they not understand that you go to med school to be a nurse?!?! Wtf?! Lol. Thank you for everything you do everyday!
This is spot on!
The singular of "phalanges" is actually "phalanx". (Only because I'm a retired anatomy professor and I miss having students and feel like I don't have a reason for being anymore). 😥
Pediatrics might be ok for me, but i dont think I'd be able to deal with Ob/Gyn.
Unless it's a fruit or a rude Southern European gesture made by putting the thumb between the index and middle finger, I'm not sure what "figs" are that are worn. 🤔 Now to go look it up.
Please tell me you had some comebacks for some of these. These patients are rude af and deserve a clap back.
heck ya man I'm bored 😂
So cruel and mean spirited 😢I’m sorry you have to deal with mean ungrateful people. Nurses are so kind. Often nurses are so much more empathetic than doctors.
It's the nurses that run the hospital not the doctors The doctors may give the orders and examine the patient but it's the nurse that is left behind to take all of the abuse and do all the work and get none of the credit I'm not a nurse I'm not a doctor I've been a patient many times and whenever the call button was pushed it was the nurse that would come and every nurse I've ever had was kind and compassionate
