We have a “cry room” in my unit, is called “Serenity Room” where we have a bench-bed, heating pad, scent oils, etc.. I guess we’re spoiled heheh 😜

I’m an LPN and the bathroom isn’t the cry room. Where do you sit? And then someone knocks on the door because they have to go. For crying out loud we just want a private moment to release, and regain ourselves in dignity.
The guy with the headphones in his nose- I saw a meme with him which said, “When your boss asks for proof you’re in the hospital.”

As a nursing student I hit one of the oxygen tank dispersers and I was at a 11 in a scale from 1 to 10. Lol. Ended up having to get checked out by three other nurses and then eventually sent home.

The hospital I worked at apparently had an issue with the plastic trees going missing so they replaced them with metal ones.... that’s gotta hurt
The oxygen regulator on the ceiling in a ambulance is a daily event of hitting ur head on. And it’s rated a F10 which is F bomb and a 10 on pain scale.
I am not a nurse, have no desire to be one, and avoid hospitals like the plague ... And yet, I love your channel ^_^
I recently visited a smaller hospital in our large metro area. Of all the hospitals in the area, I always thought of this one as an "also ran"; nothing special. But ... well, this wasn't just a visit. This was a very intense 4 day stay with a family member who eventually ended up in their hospice care and then passed. You never get to know a hospital better than when they become your EVERYTHING for days on end. Let me tell you, this "little hospital that could" was the most incredible place...but what sealed the deal was when I saw their "Champions wall" of all their therapy dogs with mini bios about each. The overnight nurse mentioned that that was just a few of the dogs (few = 30+). And that the hospital has at least 7 dogs that will make rounds each day throughout the floors. She mentioned that it was one of the things they always get compliments on. To say the least, the visiting dogs elevated both the family's and our medical staff's world every time. One last thing, it's so different when you are on the opposite side. You're looking at operations that you know so well, but this time it matters in such a different way. I just want to say God bless every hospital staff member who deals with families in the last days... And especially anyone who works with hospice. I used to wonder how you do it. Now I know that you're angels.

Oh wow what a wonderful write up.
I’ve gone to the chapel room several times to just silently cry when I felt like I’ll have a nervous breakdown.
The line for the cry room would be like the line for confession......
Let's be honest, if nurses got a cry room, they wouldnt be able to use it but managment and administration would hog it instead because their job is much "worse" than a nurse's
I haven’t hit the O2 but I did run over my ankle with my echo machine responding to a stat in the ER... worst 😩
Love the blond chick from the meme, when someone starts asking questions as soon as you clock in. I’ve been an RN aver 27 years and am now an ED supervisor. As SOON as I walk on the unit I get questions from staff, patients, and EMS. Let me put my bag down!!! And the one about medical shows? Can’t watch them... not entertaining to me, I do it for a living, would rather watch people shooting each other! Love you Nurse Blake... a breath of fresh air, keep them coming, need the humor!!!

You don’t need the cry room as often if you have the therapy pup!
Okay I’m SO glad I found this channel! You are hilarious! I’m doing pre-nursing classes and I’m so excited to join the club! 🙌 subscribing!
You know what's worst then being asked questions as soon as you clock in? Coming in a little early to get settled and getting questions even before clocking in! Mam'm get away from me!
I hit my head on a Christmas tree attached to a giant refillable O2 tank. I dropped something behind it and bent down to retrieve it, I got up quickly and WHACK! I honestly had to sit down and cry for a couple minutes. Also hematoma. 😭 Hurt to brush my hair for quite a bit.

San Diego and today it was cloudy but it’s going be raining this week. Love your videos!!
It amazes me that as a uneducated teenager, (hoping to go into the medical field/medical research) that these videos are still hilarious to those who aren’t medical professionals. Keep it up :)

I'm sorry but if you clock in, your clocked in. I work nightshift and I when dayshift comes in, they clock in and get their coffee, their breakfast. 715 comes around and I still havent given report. But when I get there, its only 640, I'm trying to still get my patient info and they come to me and ask "did you clock in, can you clock in now, I really want to leave cuz I'm tired..." 🤬 B**** please!

I interpreted that one differently. I thought the meme was saying as soon as they're clocked in, patients/family&friends/other nurses start asking them questions about the patients that they don't know yet because they literally just clocked in.

Awe I can’t believe you’re just in Seattle! I’m close to you- in Vancouver :)❤️❤️
I hit my head on the O2 flowmeters so many times in the ER. It hurts 10/10, slip a bad word in front of a patient kind of pain.
Blake you are just the best. You make me laugh so much lol ❤️
I volunteer at a hospital and I just started watching your videos! So funny and accurate 😂
I stumbled across your channel, and you are hilarious!! love these nurse vids

Nurse Blake! I only just found your channel this last week! I love them all because I work in the trauma and exotics unit at my hospital.. yes I’m a LVT (RN for animals lol) but I can relate to every video and NOW I know that you live in my hometown I can’t relate any MORE!! The cry room btw is called a locked staffed bathroom or the back balcony.... 😩👌👌👌👌💜💜💜 (glad you survived snowmaggedon btw ;) )
Blake you're hysterical. Love you.
I have hit my head off one of these and never done it again it hurts soooo bad that meme is so relatable!! LOL

My sister just recently had one of those 12 hour ER shifts B 😱 she said on the bright side she has become very friendly with our local police department since she has started working in the ER
Yessss on the cry room!!! I've cried in the bathroom & medroom 😂😭
I'm a sophomore student nurse and blake let me realize how exciting yet soul dying path I take. HAHAH ❤ but you inspired me to strive hard so that I can feel what a real nurse is😄
I live in Bloemfontein, South Africa. We don't get snow in Bloemfontein but we had a way heavy rain last week. A lot of roads where flooded.
I'm currently in Columbus, GA. It's 55° and has been raining off and on all day.
Your singing was a 20/10!! Definitely the best! ;)

It's always cool seeing how nurses from different countries talk about their job. I'm a nurse in Scotland and hearing "charting" is weird, when we just call it documenting in our notes! :D
I live in Dallas, TX, weather today was Spring like @ first now its freezing. Yesterday was freezing hail fog and rain. Yes, I've hit my head I thought I died, for 5 minutes. We don't even get to make requests, we go where they put us on the days they decide we have to go. Plus it can change at a drop of a dime. Like now instead of our clinical days starting last week they are pushed back til after spring break. Now not only will I have to study for finals we also have 2 days of clinicals OB & Peds.
YES.....for the cry room please!
Never wiped out on an O2 regulator, but had one of those wall mounted computers swing out and just about took a kidney with it... 🤢
The Foley catheter in the coffee made me laugh! I came into ICU One day with a large iced tea in a cup with a straw. I put it on the night table. Next thing you know this pt with an NG tube grabbed it and drank it, and I looked at the collection bottle at the end of his tube an my iced tea was in there!!! he drank it, and NG tube sucked it right back out into the drainage bottle!

You are so relatable 😂 I’m a cardiac icu nurse everything you say is so correct
I just love you!!!! You are so funny and Amazing 🤩
Omg Blake. I'm not a nurse but in 5he last couple years I've been in the hospital alot in St.Louis. God I'd give anything for you to be my nurse god I'd have a hoot. Love your videos hugs from a big fan
I just subscribed this morning you’re amazing😃😃😃
I've never hit my head on one of those either but I keep getting hit in the same spot by the bathroom and medroom door handles. Grrrr. Once the bruise starts to disappear, I get hit again and get a new bruise. 😂
I live in Saskatchewan, Canada and 8/12 months of the year you can't see the ground because it's covered with 5 feet of snow and it's -50°c outside, and the other 4 months it's +30°c (summer), +10 or +15° c (fall and spring)
You're hilarious, I loveeeee
Wait. You got to submit a request for where your clinical was??? My school just does luck of the draw 😭
TFW when the clinical site is only 45 mins away 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Lol the commercial is “the best part of waking up is foley in your cup”
Lmao focus Blake. Forget about the snow...don’t make me say squirrel
Yes! After clocking in they even hand you a paper and say “can you get this admission?! Or worse, if you arrive early- “can you clock in now & get this admission?”
I wish you worked at my facility 😂 Also, that girl from the memes is Trisha Paytas!
Where did you get that artwork?! It's lovely! Also, you're hilarious.
