@@TruthTellert63 the squat favors the short though. I agree though, there should be some scaling for height (shorter atlas stone stands for short guys, higher squat bar for giants). There is also the fact that carry and drag, and truck pull favors the heavy. As a devil's advocate, if we were looking for the strongest in the world pound-for-pound, it would probably be some skinny athletes.

Both of them are amazing athletes, deserving utmost respect. Big Z have won Arnold Strongman 7 times (vs Mariusz zero). Big Z holds 4 WSM titles vs Mariusz 5 WSM titles. But lets not forget one fact. During 2005-2008 years Mariusz won 3 WSM titles while peak form Big Z could not participate due to WSM political infighting nonsense. During those years WSM splintered and organization "IFSA Strongman World Championships" emerged. At that time it was not clear which organization will survive and strongmen were not allowed to participate in both. It is sad that those years were fractured years of WSM. Who knows how many additional WSM titles Big Z could have won.

you can't say it that easily. Bjornsson is at least as strong as Savickas and more athletic. Shaw as well. The fact I admire about Big Z is, that he was able to compete in so many contests over that long time, this is truly amazing.

Papa Bear 1:52 are platform shoes allowed? They certainly should be, considering the fact that the WSM organizers schedule events specifically to favor taller men. (Their doing so actually invalidates a great many of the results, as it should be the "World's Strongest Man" -- not the "World's Strongest Tall Man.")
