"RIP" KINGPIN | 2200MHz RTX 2080 Ti Kingpin Overclock on Water

Ойындар

EVGA's new RTX 2080 Ti Kingpin card can run high overclocks on water, perhaps best illustrated by Kingpin himself on the new flagship GPU.

@@kepler104 Also to expand on what A C said and share an experience I had when I broke my leg. Part of the healing process is to put weight on the leg for multiple reasons. I was expected to begin to start walking on my weight I think and I could be completely misremembering but I think it was about a month in. I had to stand up from the hospital bed and put weight onto it for a few seconds, this is increased over time. When I was at home I was given a walking frame that you might see older people using and then to crutches. Now I believe some of the reasons and again I could be completely wrong is that not using your muscles for a long period of time can reduce muscle mass, making sure the bone fuses properly even when a cast is on and rehabilitation to get you walking properly again. Non the less it isn't fun, it really hurts, especially for at least the first month of walking for small periods of time, it's a pain in the ass because the cast gets in your way of everything, including showering and bathing.

Steve, I had done an experiment on memory clocks vs performance scaling, and found that memory does not scale linear. It is more of a sinusoidal scaling with sharp peak and cusps. End story is, it really helped me max the performance of my 1080ti, I went from around 4kish Valley (extreme 1440p) score, to consistently above 4220, with just memory tweaks. Let me know if you want my data, and I will be more than happy to send you my excel sheet.

I'm interested in what hardware drives the small OLED display and measures the voltages and temperatures. Is there an external MCU or is it built in to the card firmware? What kind of ADCs did you use? Modern silicon can have voltage steps of 25 milliVolts or less. At that resolution, noise can be a huge problem for cheap ADCs or ADCs built in to the MCU.

If you continue to do intros that funny you have to give out an award for the best intro! Wati you can't give an award to yourself... Make it a viewer poll and then give an award to yourself! ;)

Wow that is so cool. you should a do video with one of these Kingpin GPU's cooled with phase change refrigeration and see how high clock speed you can get out of one of these RTX 2080 Ti cards. I had a question. I have a few EVGA RTX 2080 Ti XC Gaming Cards. I got them off of Ebay, I thought I would re-paste the GPU's on them to see if I could get them to run cooler. I have built many PC's in the past and used the pea sized dot in the center method for applying thermal grease, but I have done it only on CPU's with an IHS on them, never on a GPU. For some reason no matter what I do when I apply thermal grease to the GPU the temps end up worse then they were before I took them apart. I have tried the Pea Sixed dot in the center also the X and the vertical line and spreading methods for applying the grease to the GPU and I have tried Grizzley Kryonot, Arctic Silver 5 and Arctic MX 4 pastes with all the same result the cards run really hot. I am using the stock heat-sink and fans on the cards and also re-using the heat-sink tension screws with their integrated springs on them. Do you gave any idea what I might be doing wrong ? do I need to also replace the thermal pads ? no thermal pads were removed I just took the stock back-plate off of the card when I re-applied thermal grease on the GPU, but I put it back on again and left all the thermal pads alone and stuck on the backplate. Also the other thermal pads are sandwiched inside underneath the other plate around the GPU but that plate along with those thermal pads we never removed or unscrewed at all. Any helpful suggestions you can offer would be greatly appreciated. in the past when I applied thermal grease on CPU's they always ran cool and fine and I had no problems applying the thermal grease but for some reason I can't get these GPU's to stop overheating. Thank You in advance for your help

Does anyone know why I can't select overvoltage in the EVGA XOC settings? I have a 100mHz offset on the core, 500mHz on the memory and I cant go any farther... EVGA GTX 1080 FTW
