Yes, they are only looking for a way to enable the state (where I live, by the way) to enforce what is tantamount to a ban on carry while being able to plausibly contend that they are actually adjudicating according to the law, the Constitution, and the Supreme Court. Their decision was made before any arguments were presented.

Until the Legislators and Courts can demonstrate that there are no criminals carrying guns in the State of California, I feel that I have a higher duty to protect my family than to worry about their "laws". I will comply with my duty to my family first, to the best of my ability.

The DEMs have Always Hated this Country, the Constitution and the Bill of Rights because of the opportunities they afford and the inalienable rights they (supposed to) protect. The purpose of the DEMs continually appointing extreme activist judges is to totally undermine and neuter the Constitution.

The 9th circuit has never seen a 2A violation that they didn't LOVE.

I already have a ridiculous California CCW permit but if Newsom and Bonta strip me off that right it will be the final straw and I will take my tax dollars elsewhere

Is that what renewal takes there? I suspect cost is quite high as well. My recent renewal, in my state, requires something like ten minutes online plus $35. Since we’re permitless state, even that’s technically not necessary - except for reciprocity and GFSZ and skipping NICS and recognition of “good guy” status by LEO. Little of those advantages appear to apply to you. I’m going to guess no one reciprocates with California since you don’t recognize any other states licenses, you are still banned anywhere near schools, you are still subject to all of California’s inane restrictions (background check for ammo!), and in many parts of your state carry-permit makes you automatically suspect.😢 In short... sucks to be a CA subject instead of an American citizen. Stay strong and keep fighting - even now there’s hope, even in California.

Judges make perfect sense, only bad guys with bad intentions are allowed to carry guns in sensitive places !😳🤪🤪

essentially, they have to agree it's unconstitutional and should be tossed unless they want SCOTUS reminding them of it, we seriously need to give SCOTUS enforcement officers or the ability to punish the other branches if they try overreaching

i wish we would just skip this step and wait for SCOTUS to get off their thumbs and take this case.

Is not "carry arms" and "bear arms" the same thing? This is totally unconstitutional.

That fact of the matter is this: The 9th Circuit is totally ignoring not just Bruen but the purity of the content of the 2nd Amendment and nothing is happening to them. They are inventing rules, and like a Monarchy who rules over themselves, they are deciding to IGNORE these altogether.

It will never change with the 9th…why is everyone so mad,it’s not like they’ve ever given anything but rare slivers of sanity on anything.

As for as the 2A issues they can only be fixed by a real limit on states' rights anything else is a waste of time.

One more reason to vote for Trump. He was on the way to appointing acceptable conservative judges to the 9th Circuit. Biden, of course, would have nothing to do with that. I've got a California CCW. About the only place I can safely carry is out to the mailbox.

CA bill CA SB1160 has been "Stripped & gutted" to increase the penalty for "Open Carry". So we won't let you carry concealed, and we won't let you carry open either. How is this not infringement?

I had been on the fence for months now especially hearing of the issues with insurwncd pulling the legal representation for someone even when the lawyer said they can really argue self defense (so bean counter destroyed the link between customer and lawyer). SB2 really made me want to switch and your recommendation pushed me over the edge.

My wife said, "There should not be ANY women as judges, politicians, CEO's, or in any positions of power." I tend to agree. That video clip showed how incompetent they really are! This gynocracy will not stand!

ACTIVIST JUDGES! Why would they screech and scream about going along with the 2nd circuit decision, but recoil and cringe over having to follow the same advice of the 4th circuit or the 5th circuits recent rebukes protecting?

I am about as far from California as one can be, i lived there many years ago and it was beautiful, that place no longer exists. Im in Florida now and that is where I will stay, gun laws are excellent here.😊

Tell you what's going to happen before even watching the video, 9th circus court will find it constitutional or maybe unconstitutional and it will go to a full panel who will find for or against then in three years it will go to the Supreme Court that might or might not be the same makeup and they will decide to here it or not. So in four years we might know something.

Three old gun hating crows- what can we expect.

When talking about voting for those that support the second amendment, one is sometimes cast as a one issue voter and for me that is not the case at all. ALL those that are sworn to office in our government and our military take an oath to protect and defend the Constitution to the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. I am 70 years old, and I took that same oath at 17 years old when joining the military. The issue is one of one's word and honor. Soldiers who have fought and died since our Country's beginning did so in large part of this oath they took. Through the years we have seen politicians that have taken that oath do all that they can to infringe on the second amendment, an amendment that OUR CONSTITUTION clearly states " SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" My issue to them is this- THAT THEY HAVE BROKEN THEIR OATH TO OUR GREAT COUNTRY AND HAVE PROVED THEMSELVES TO BE DECEIVERS AND BETRAYERS AND CAN NOT BE TRUSTED IN ANY OFFICE OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, OR ANY OTHER OFFICE THAT DEMANDS AN OATH AT ALL.

The 9th will use Sullivan to point to a long term tradition
