Interesting. Wouldn’t weight training contribute to stress (raise cortisol, etc.)? One of the biggest problems I have is that my histamine gets kicked up when I exercise. I’d love to weight train but gut issues, coupled with histamine sensitivity, has left me at a loss for what exercises to do. Just gentle yoga, swimming, and going for walks?

Histamine issues are a call to repair and nurture you gut. While doing so it is typically extremely difficult to perform high intensity workouts. Once you strengthen your gut microbiota you can increase the intensity of your workouts.
Can you do rowing if you have SIBO? Like on a rowing machine?

You can, overall with exercise you just want to be careful with the intensity. If you are having active SIBO symptoms strenuous exercise will likely make things worse.
You may have studied ibs, but you need to have it to understand it.

The co-founder of our company and the designer of our IBS protocol (that works amazingly) had IBS and overcame her symptoms. 👍🏼
