RIDING A YOUNG HORSE & PHYSIO TREATMENT | Barn Vlog | Riding Remington

Hellooooooo!
This weeks vlog is a little later than planned!
In this video I give you a little update on Remmi and how he is getting on, on box rest. Remmi also has the physiotherapist out to come and give him an INDIBA Radiofrequency treatment and then I give Mara a little a school and fill you in on her.

    I suggest a "mirror" that's made from shined up metal. I believe they have them in a lot of public bathrooms to prevent accidents and things. Could be a good option and you won't have to worry about it getting shattered and anyone getting hurt. Love your vlogs ❤️

    I have a treat ball for my boy that is hung from the ceiling. It’s great for keeping him occupied and he doesn’t move around as he’s mainly stretching up to reach it. I use carrots etc in it but you can also put hay in it. It’s a dog toy so it’s indestructible. My boys had it almost a month now and he’s not managed to break it which as a three year old I thought would happen for sure! I’ll send you a link on IG! :)

    A chicken or goat and a tether ball. It's a hard choice but you don't want him to start cribbing. Just suggesting bot implying you dont know what's best by any means. Yes a mirror would be great protect it with plexi glass so if it gets broken it wont cone down and present a problem. I've lived thru this so sorry you and Remi are dealing with this. Best wishes for a fast recovery and stable prognosis for his future.

    I'm a mare person. I mean I like geldings okay but I tend to just get along with mares better. Most geldings hold grudges is what I find like they'll keep going but they don't get over things, mares may get mad in a moment but they let you know it and then move on.

    I had calli out for both my girls since seeing your insta post and omg she is so amazing 😍 we have had chiros and osteos before and always been none the wiser after they have left or seen much improvement..also one of the chiros was really aggressive to my sweet girl😡 but this treatment with calli was absolutely amazing and everything she said made so much sense to me considering the way they move and issues we have had. Straight after the first session i noticed a massive improvement in my old girl stepping through with her hind leg...literally amazing!🥰❤ So thank you very much sophie and rem for the recommendation 🥰🥰🥰 and thanks from my girlies 🦄🦄 xxxxx

    My pony adores frazzles and when we last went to a show, he was partial to a cold cheesy chip or two too 😂 He then mugged my poor Mum for her cuppa too whilst he was at it - cheeky boy he is! Loving the vlogs and you look lovely on Mara xx

    Oooooh, I’m quite partial to a Frazzle myself! 🙊 Your pony sounds like he would get on well with Rem, they would go around mugging everyone for snacks! Awww, thank you, so pleased you enjoyed it ❤️

    I should see if my horse likes random snacks. Nice to see Remi and Mara. Did a Google and you can buy stable mirrors in the UK. Found a website that sells plastic mirrors. You don't want a normal glass mirror in a stable.

    Loved this video! Box rest is the worst isn't it? My horse damaged his tendon 2 months ago and he is still on box rest (except being able to come out for in hand walks 20 mins a day) its so hard keeping them entertained without filling them with treats and sugar! I have to triple his nets and hang them from the middle of his stable because he scoffs his food so quickly. Silvermoor swingers are good because they've got no sugar in them and keep him entertained for a bit, maybe worth looking at them for Remi? Hopefully he gets better soon

  • @RidingRemington

    @RidingRemington

    Ooooh yes, I forgot about those swingers. They’ve had them before and Rem wasn’t too keen but maybe he’ll be more interested now that he has nothing else to do. Hope your boy continues doing well with his rehab ☺️

    Aww Remi, before you know it, you'll be out in the world again. Box rest must be so confusing for a horse. I wish we could explain these things to them. I'm glad you have Mara to keep you in shape during this downtime. You look great on Mara... cobs have that girth that is more forgiving of a rider's height. They're both beautiful ponies with such soulful eyes -- even when Rem is cheekily dumping your box in search of crisps, he looks like an angel. I'm always thrilled to see your videos pop up. Probably not an easy question to answer, but how many weeks are they thinking for box rest?

    For being how tall you are you don’t even look to tall for Mara and glad to see Remi is feeling better and they both look good I a bit bias though because I love traditional cobs especially if they are brown and white or a nice evenly marked black and whites
