    Hey 👋🏻 Here is an update from Remmi and I after his trip to the vets a few weeks ago 😊 Apologies for the length, it’s a chatty one! Hopefully we’ll be back dancing and jumping again in the new year! Until then, are there any other videos you’d like to see from us? Sophie x

    Thanks so much for the update! It's ridiculous how involved we feel with the equestrians we follow and how worried we get when something is wrong, so to learn how you and Remmi are getting on is a relief, you underestimate how much we enjoy your content, your voice is very relaxing and you explain things so well!! Glad to hear your ankle is improving too from your other comment!! Hugs to Remmi!! 😘

    Wow just found your channel and I love it! I saw a horse for share and I reminded me of Remington because they look so beautifully similar, I haven’t asked them yet because they said they’re looking for a mature lady and I’m only nearly thirteen. But all my friends think I have an old soul so metaphorically I’m a mature lady 🤷🏻‍♀️ it’s often used as a metaphorical term so I don’t know to ask hehe

    Oh fingers crossed everything gets back to some normality and he’s happy and healthy again! I also have a cob and he’s the OPPOSITE of low maintenance , touch wood never anything serious but I think I’m constantly battling some thing or other with him 😂🙈

    I've been through similar with my lad and he's had a couple of different hock medication and I find now that management is key! It's so hard not to blame yourself and I spent hours questioning if I'd done things differently would things be the same but ultimately horses are living much longer than they used to, are bred certain ways and live certain ways that we see much more wear and tear plus we are so much more aware of it now! You so clearly but your horses first above all else so please don't blame yourself. Rehab can be frustrating but it's worth it. I hope Remmi is back to full strength soon xx

    I can very much relate to this! My old pony was a very traditional cob, although he was of the skinnier, sportier types, he picked up a splint in his cannon bone in his front right knee. I couldn’t help but feel guilty of it because i jumped regularly and did a bit of everything with him. The rehab was painfully long, i had to cold hose 20 mins twice a day, walk him around the yard, but I couldn’t lead him because he was on box rest and was very fresh so he would drag me around, so i had to ride him and the amount of spooks were unreal! But it showed my commitment for sure! A year after his injury we decided to sell him to a hacking/ schooling home so we didn’t strain him anymore. But we live and we learn, I know for sure i won’t be buying a cob for what i want to do now, but he was the best first pony ever, i think every cob has such a funny personality, they are so great!

    Gosh, sounds like a long recovery process! Well done 👏🏻 They are so cheeky aren’t they?! Before Rem I didn’t realise how fabulously wonderful they are! I’m keeping my fingers crossed that Rem will get back to where he was but if not, it’s not the end of the world, I just want him happy/healthy 😊

    Riding Remington it’s such a shame people put a stigma on them, if they’d actually ever owned a cob they would have such opposite views😔 hope you the best with rem, I’m sure you’ll get back to it soon!

    Use the chiropractor. He can relieve any stiffness sore spots and balance his hips shoulders withers and improve his overall health and will feel amazing. Check out Dr. Cracker on here. Hes an animal chiropractor. It's actually not as intense or tough as obe may think. It's actually quite easy and gentle type of corrective adjustments. I think you would find that he would definitely benefit from it. It's not a replacement from the therapy you have him undergoing but an asset that would compliment it over his entire body. Poll atlas withers, C, T and L vertebra, shoulders hips legs all with non invasive adjustments. I hope you will check into it. Best wishes.

    Hi my wife follows your videos, she as a Gypsy cross mare. Well live in America. I Magna Wave horses over here. I have had great success with horses that have problems behind, hocks and stifles. The all hind end needs to be treated for 10 minutes each side, 2 or 3 times a week. For 2 weeks, you should see a marked improvement. But please check with your veterinarian first before having him Magna Waved.

    Don't beat yourself up if the vets had a line of horses to check over I'm very sure all of them if not at least all of them would have at least one thing wrong with them no horse is perfect just like us we all have something going on in fact it's a lot more common than to have nothing at all ! I'm very sure you will have plenty more fun yrs and lovely riding memories together ❤

    Hi I know this is a personal question but please could you discuss the price of your lameness work up and treatment? I am hoping to get one done and would like to prepare myself before receiving the bill 🙄😂

  • @RidingRemington

    @RidingRemington

    3 жыл бұрын

    I imagine your vets would be in the best position to advise you on lameness investigation prices, ours was really helpful 😊 Obviously it will be hard to estimate a cost of treatment as it will lately depend on what they find. Again our vet outlined the cost of treatment before we proceeded.
