Aww he looks amazing! I did feel sorry for him when he looked at his legs and was like “where my feathers gone?” But he looks amazing! You did a great job! He was funny in the field, He could probably feel the cold a lot more 😂😍🐴

Poor guy, it will definitely feel strange! Hopefully when the hair starts to grow back a little he will feel more comfortable.

Mark Southall it’s just a horse that’s like saying all quarter horses have to be ranch horses all thoroughbreds have to be racers all arabians have to do endurance traditions change

He looks AMAZING!!! Like a different horse 🙊 love how felt weird without his feathers at first bless him 🥰 I hope all goes well with the vet investigations 🤞🏼

I learned this from a coach of the Special Olympics Equestrian team. If you are using a scissor to shorten mane, (if it not too thick, like on my Haflinger) comb to the other side, dampen it at the roots to keep it there. Cut then comb it back over. You'll get a much more natural edge.

Wow wow wow, what a transformation, Remmi looks fantastic with his new makeover! Think he very much approved, sure he needs to go to the Vet’s? Very much the “live wire”, maybe the makeover was what he was feeling he needed! Laughed at his Spring has sprung paddock moment, but in Autumn 🤔! ♥️🙌

I would LOVE it, if that was the miracle cure! I imagine if the vet had seen him then, he'd probably have said there doesn't look to be too much wrong with him! Ha!

Rem looks just as gorgeous with his new sports cob look as he does with his fully gypsy cob look. More important is how he is feeling, and he seems to be saying that he is feeling just great right now thank you mum. Fingers crossed for the hospital visit and that all will be well. Xxx

Only watching this now as Leeds has all of it's stables and liveries closed down apart from essential parts like feeding and veterinary treatments. What an amazing and beautiful horse you have and this channel is amazing even though I haven't watched it in ages 😀

I like his look. Hes smart looking with his makeover. I love the traditional but I think this is a smart change. I love it. He looks amazing.

Bless him his reaction to his legs was the sweetest lol cobs can literally pull off any look !....I love a Traditional Cob to be Traditional but having said that my Traditional is hogged he still has his big fluffy feather's and his long thick forelock which I always keep plaited and obviously a huge bushy tail but he is hogged as his mane is so thick that it causes a lot of ingrown hairs and it really bothers him so I had to bite the bullet and hog him but I must admit I absolutely love him hogged ! Remi looks so gorgeous 😍 he certainly seems to agree with all that showing off lol I just love how they have a mad half an hr without a care in the world like they pay their own bloody vet bills lol I never know wether to laugh or cry when watching mine lol

You can beat a long forelock, it's my favourite! I know, I was thinking "please don't hurt yourself!!" At the same time though, it is lovely to see them being a 'horse'

Gypsies are one of my favourite horse breeds and if I were to own one I would never shave the feathers or mane and tail I think I would just tidy them up haha 😆 it’s just what I would do! The result for yours is absolutely beautiful!! His reaction to his legs was priceless 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣

Remi looks fantastic and from the way he was throwing himself around the field I don’t think there can be too much wrong, unless he injuries himself in that moment of madness in the field.

my fav breed is cob so I love rem as a cobby but he looks stunning as a cobby sports horse too!!!

I used to shave my cob I had on loan. Helps with not getting mites etc. I'll be doing same when I get my own etc. Beautiful cob. Reminds me of bobtail the cob I had.

You are a very smart girl! Having worked part time for an equine vet for 25 years, I saw a few feathered horses come in for lameness exams. Generally the owners were mortified at the thought of clipping any hair off. Sometimes it seemed like the feathers were more important than the lameness. You made the right decision. He seems very pleased with himself. Not looking very lame in the field.

Remmi's happy !! That's all that matters . I've always been clip- curious !! The vet told me not to , the farrier said to do so !! I'm going to reserve judgement on the feather clip - jury is still out xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
