    I just found your Chanel and love your stuff. If you find time I’d love some input. I’m a rad dad type of snowboarder. I carve the groomers and enjoy the views while hitting the little side hits on the way down. I really want to find a board that is incredibly stable if I want to flatfoot it or point it but also somewhat forgiving when carving when I make a mistake. I don’t want to be on my A game all the time but want a board that can handle it if I wanna push it. I’m 6’2 250 lbs size 12 boot, I ride PNW Moutains, prefer a directional board don’t hit much park if any. What are some you’d recommend me looking into?

    Hey, Beastie! The dating app... haa😆 Yet another solid / solid review Hey, quick question in the Ride world (or beind)... Regarding bindings. And, a simple question at that: What's *your favorite* Ride binding (or any brand / make / model etc) for just that all mountain / big resort day / goofin' around with our amigos... Not a bomb / aggressive day, just a push play on the Tool playlist and cruise type for day... Guess I'm just trying to narrow down my choices for a super-comfie, mellow, chill binding for your basic glide on the board / not a care in the world type day. I like how some of the Ride bindings I've checked out have those super-thick footbeds etc... And, just wondering what one (or a few) of your go-to... damn, a that's comfie binding choices might be (any brand btw)... just looking for a nudge in *any* direction for that ultra-cush / damp / forgiving type-of binding because there's just sooooo many choices out there / so many different series and names etc (lol) that sometimes I just give up. Ha But, I hate giving up --- So, then I thought, let me just ask The Master 🙏 Ommmm (ha) Right on, Beastie. Look forward to all of our reviews... You and Davey-boy make quite the Dynamic-Duo. You guys should get old-school capes. 😆🏂🕺🤸 --RIDE ON, AMIGO-- 👊

    Thanks! Greatly appreciated. You can watch/read what we say about the newer Ride bindings on the site but the short take is we like everything about the new Ride bindings except the ankle straps. They are not very supportive and you feel your ankle fold to easy on you in uneven snow. I would look at the Rome Katana, Union Force 2024 and Nitro Team Pro's are very versatile fun bindings for what you described. Hit me up here if you want more detailed advice based on your quiver, specs ets. shop.thegoodride.com/merchandise/gear-advice/

    I ride this a lot of this season. Agree with you on this review. I really wanted to like it. I found the 57wide a lil heavy on edge when getting real aggressive with it. Like it sorta fell on front foot edge weighted if that makes sense? Preferred black labels on this over atlas I had more fun with. Did you prefer the k2 antidote to this?

    Thanks for your take. What is your boot size, weight and height? Yeah both are very damp, hard to pop. I found the Amplid Souly Grail my favorite of the three. Pretty much just as damp but softer/easier to turn/control. Much more pop too and I didn't have to work hard for it.

    @thegoodridesnow. How do you feel the black snowboard of death compares to the new Ride deep fake. It seems your more entused by the BSOD than the Deep Fake?

  • @thegoodridesnow

    @thegoodridesnow

    BSOD works better for my riding style. Has more pop but if you want a stiffer more damp higher speed carver the Deep Fake is better. The edges are soo quiet and hold soo well on a carve.

    Doable for sure. Its not like the Smokescreen and Commissioner that don't side hit well but it's not like the Algohrythm or Shadowban which are super easy to do so. Its more on the Algo/Shadow side though.

    Hi. 189 cm - 6'2" and 185 lbs, US 11 - 11.5 (So far I've been riding on regular 164-165). 161W will be the best choice for me? Or maybe 165W? (with ref stance 584 mm (161W has 259 mm)). Greets!

    Need your boot size as well to size properly. Can't with just height and weight. Both fit that category. If you want ultra damp and really like to bomb in all conditions go Deep Fake. If you want something more lively that is more of a soft uneven snow to good conditions bomber go K2.

    Ok you could go with an Alchemist 164w and a 165w Deep Fake. Alchemist has more pop but I would say deep fake is a little stiffer. Both are pretty stiff though.

    How is this board for riding switch and hitting bigairs in park? I had Algorythm but its too soft for my 6.3ft 100kg body.(advanced leve) I see only two options for Ride boards (stiff and long+wide) : Deep Fake or Berzerker. Which one of those would be better for park and all mountain?

  • @thegoodridesnow

    @thegoodridesnow

    4 ай бұрын

    Not as good as the Algo for switch but its doable and it's definitely stiffer and better for going big. I'd go with this over the Berzerker because this tracks straight better and that will give you more confidence straight lining into a big kicker.

    @@thegoodridesnow I found algorythm too soft for my. Cant do good pop with my weight. So you're saying Deep Fake will be doa le for bigair and takeoffs/landings switch? Is the shape far from twin or I can set it up to get pretty even stance and feeling?

  • @thegoodridesnow

    @thegoodridesnow

    If you size both right I'd choose the Flagship because its spoon nose and extra set back on board (if you use it) turns easier in tighter trees. Neither are the best though and you might prefer something else if you want something that turns quick in trees. I noticed what you said that this board is great for power riding through crud/chunder, messy snow, etc. that's why I started to consider buying Deep Fake. like to ride aggressively AM (no freestyle, park) and I like fast riding on the slopes (not only grooming and carving), but also the mentioned aggressive surfing on uneven, bumpy snow. I also love pow (less aggressive there)... I find that this DF could be for me. But: I have the opportunity to buy it for a similar price as Ultra Flagship 2024 with its 3D shape which is supposedly great for choppy, uneven snow. I didn't have a chance to ride the Ultra Flagship, only the regular one. However, would you recommend Deep Fake or Ultra Flag (or eventually regular Flag) for me? Thank you in advance!

  • @thegoodridesnow

    @thegoodridesnow

    5 ай бұрын

    Yeah the Deep Fake could be a good fit for you. I like it better than the Ultra Flagship. That's a little lighter/poppier/stiffer than the regular flagship but it's not as damp. I would consider this vs. the Regular Flagship. The Flagship will be better in powder but the Deep Fake will give you a stiffer/damper ride.

    @@HunterGieI ended up getting it, fantastic board, much more springy than what reviews led me to believe, super poppy and easy to load in general. It’s actually one of the best snowboards I’ve ridden in years. Super easy to ride, very damp but not at all dead. Immediately clicked with it and would recommend it to anyone honestly. I don’t know why so many reviews made this thing sound like an overly damp crud charger. It’s definitely not that. I got a lot of energy out of turns out of the back foot, lot of spring off of side hits without “maching” down the mtn, and a lot of stability in less than perfect conditions at Copper. I agree with you, amazing board. James is here to help folks and comment sections are a great supplement/addition, no need to be harsh towards someone who’s super nice and providing a place for us all to connect online. it’s just a snowboard. ✌️
