    Biggs was highly skilled, great reflexes, coordination, hand & foot speed, he seemed to have the lot for a long range boxer to be successful, but his defense against the world class boxers couldn't measure up - he didn't seem to have that sense of anticipation to avoid punches. He had a great trainer in Benton, so that couldn't be the reason....

    If Biggs was managed properly and not rushed into a world title fight after only 15 fights I think he could have gone on and been a real force in the heavyweight division but the beating he took from Mike Tyson he was never the same again .but to be fair to Biggs he did turn up for this fight unlike the fight in London a couple of years before with Gary mason .big respect Tyrrell Biggs

    They rushed him into world title fight for a reason. Biggs was a big coke addict so this made his team realize that they might as well get him a title fight sooner than later before he ruined his career with his coke addiction. A lot of fighters in the 80s blamed their addictions (specifically cocaine) for their decline in performance including Tyson.

If tyrell biggs was not in drugs and if he had a good motivational trainer in his side I honestly believe he would probably be a great fighters and be in top among the fighters in that era..but his career ended without coming to the top.. But he had the quality has a great fighter.but unfortunately he mixed up with drugs..and did not came at the top level as most of the great fighters.. But still he is a olympic gold 🏅 medalist that we can't take that from him.. Just wonders if biggs was in good hands like cuz or Dundee..the top trainers I think he would be a great fighter.. Biggs".. he has a amazing beautiful style of boxing 🥊 and great physics..but he was less confident fighter......but when we see his resume he faught most of all great fighters and champion..in his resume.. If jjust briggs had a great trainer in the past or a mentor in the past maybe he could be a greatest fighter and heavyweight champion... But unfortunately Biggs careers was end up in drugs & alcohol and Wash out as fighter alongside his careers.. But as we can see Briggs has lots of potential to be a heavyweight champion..but I just thought if he was in good hand along his career maybe he would be a different fighters in that era..and great champion . The fact is Tyrell Biggs ..if he was with a great trainer..I think everything will be a difference in his career.. Biggs .if he was with good trainer..in today's heavyweight era's I honestly think he can beat most of all top heavyweight such as , Tyson fury, deontay wilder,or Andy Ruiz,or Antony Joshua,or usyk..a lots of fighters.. Biggs really source of regrets along his career who has amazing potential..to become heavyweight champion..

Somebody mentioned how Tyrell was a good Boxer's an Olympic gold medalist but a fragile heavyweight that's a very correct assessment of who Tyrell Biggs turnedout to be as a Boxer on the other hand as you all knows Riddick was a very good Boxer with alotta balls and ofcourse a champion of the world we where actually born the same day but different years! Bowe was a little scared of fighting Lennox as pro, although Lennox was a very smart Boxer devious manner, I know Lennox Lewis very well till he showed me his Conniving character! This is King Ipitan IBO champion of the world.

    @Joe Blow Listen you saw Riddick Bowe relinquished a title that was mandatory for a fight with Lennox Lewis, why would he do such a stupid thing? Because Lewis cracked him up in the Olympics and he quitted, a real hardcore Boxer shouldn't do that, but the world of Boxing let him slide on that! As a pro, he showed wills and balls to fight by knocking out alotta people in the Ring! But my men Bowe was scared of Lennox! When Mike was in prison I went with Riddick Bowe to go visit Mike Tyson and Bowe kind of admired Mike and wouldn't wanna fight him, was he scared? That am not sure, but I know he has a lot of admiration for Mike, was he scared, maybe, but he claims one of the most impotent reasons is because they came from the same hood, and Mike was very raw then and intimidating with kats from their hood! "I was supposed to fight Mike back then too when he first came out of prison but they picked the white dude for money reasons!

    @Joe BlowI hope you will understand how this works! There's a way it feels when you get hit by good Boxer's is either heavy hands, hard, or steel solid! Riddick is a heavy puncher, Lennox is a hard puncher then Mike is a steel strong puncher änd you got to know how to take or deviate those shots! To your comment on Riddick, "Bowe" fought Lennox in the amateur (Olympics) and lost by quitting, so he felt something he probably didn't want to feel in the pro, but he later regretted it! Maybe to you Bowe doesn't seen like an entertaining Boxer, I thought personally Lennox was not exciting to watch but anyway choices are different! Bowe wasn't exactly scared, he just wasn't ready to take that chance yet, he just became a champ and he's first defence was to be somebody he lost to in the Olympics? That's No, he wants to enjoy his belt first before that! Alotta people don't understand that. Alright man!

  • @kingipitan4663

    @kingipitan4663

    @Joe Blow sorry quickly i once told somebody on Instagram that Bowe was "scared" to fight Lennox Lewis that could be very incorrect, because Bowe actually made a comment that he wasn't "scared" at all, because he got teased by Holyfied about that, to my understanding later he just didn't want to fight Lennox to be he's first title defence, he wanted to enjoyed the glory of being the heavyweight champion of the world, but the WBA insisted that he must fight against Lennox rightaway, contrary to the other organization's so he relinquished the title and the title was given to Lennox Lewis for free! That's how Lennox Lewis became a champion of the world.

    The sudden rise and fall of Tyrell Biggs I personally blame on Lou Duva and his people. Instead of honing his skills as a stick-and-move stylist, the Duvas tried to make Tyrell into two fisted battler. Big mistake! Also, keeping Biggs in the "limelight" rather than taking into the "backwoods", where there would've been less pressure was largely a financial decision. He should've been brought along slowly as a pure boxer before any big tests. Biggs would've been a better fighter and not the tragedy that he later became. (Losing to Tyson in his prime is no badge of shame any more than losing to Joe Louis was in the 1930's and 40's. But to be rushed into the match after 15 uneven wins, Tyrell was little more than an opponent.)

    1) That’s not how boxing works, kid. It’s about matchups. George foreman knocked down joe Frazier 6 times in 4 rounds. Frazier went 44 rounds against Ali and broke his jaw. Ali beat foreman quite easily. 2) if you knew anything about boxing history - or watched the Tyson Biggs fight - you’d know that Biggs talked a lot of trash leading up to the fight. Tyson promised to give him a SLOW beating - his exact words. Tyson was in control from the 2nd rd. He used the other 5 rounds to showcase his ability to throw a jab, which commentators often doubted. If Tyson wanted, he could have ended it in 3.

    Idk about that. Bowe was a great fighter, and had an awesome chin, and if Tyson didnt get you early, and you had talent, he was vulnerable. I dont think Tyson could beat Bowe in the post D'Amato years. He wasnt the same fighter after he died.

    @Joe Blow Joe Blow, really a name huh?

    Biggs was a fine amateur boxer, but in spite of his size, he couldnt take a punch, and he wasn't that hard a hitter. He wasn't a bruiser but a boxer. In contrast, Bowe was a much harder hitter. Someone below said that if Biggs hadnt been rushed so much to be a top contender, then he might have done more damage...I disagree. He simply couldn't take the punishment, and after Mike Tyson destroyed him, he was never the same.
