There was an old episode of "Tales of the Unexpected" that had a woman who was mistreated a little by her husband and when he died, she kept his brain in a jar, with one eyeball, so he could see her smoke and do all the things he wouldn't let her do when he was alive. It was very grim.

Nah. It's alright, but I much preferred listening to the science stuff. This is just too close to XFM, really. Heard it all before.

Drives me crazy when Ricky asserts loaded philosophical point of views like 'free will is an illusion' or "we are just carbon based machine's" like it was a definitive truth.

Guys, I love Karl, Ricky and Steve together, but we can't hate on Ricky for doing shows with other people. We don't know the circumstances, maybe Karl doesn't want to do any more of this, or maybe Ricky doesn't. Or maybe they would like to but they're all too busy. Who knows? I wish they would though. The ancestry stuff is quite self indulgent. I did the DNA test to find out where I'm from in the hope that I find out I'm not as white and boring as I think I am. I've since searched youtube and found countless boring videos of people who have done the same. I fell for it....I'm a moron! Still keen to find out the results!

My reason for resisting was that I didn't want to voluntarily hand over my DNA to some shady nameless characters who're collecting millions of samples and creating a database, used for nefarious means, no doubt.

Niandra I was worried about that too but figured I really wasn't important enough for my DNA to be of any use to anyone. Nor am I a criminal. It's just a curiosity for me. If I find any long lost relatives out of it, that would be cool. 😎 besides, if I were to be cloned, I'd be interedted to see how mini me would go if brought up in a different environment. It really would help show how the nature vs nurture idea works!

Ok so the question of which animal would you put your brain into if you could is pretty interesting? With the chimp or gorilla thing it seems pretty easy coz you’d think “most of my brain could fit in its head” but what about the rest? Whales and elephants have massive brains you could get 4 or 5 at least into an elephants head... you’re extended family could fit in a whale’s... so having said that I would probably go with splitting all my neuronal functioning up amongst a lively pond or stretch of creek... or If my only option is ape/but wha about the rest... I would definitely go with bonobo with the rest into a bird so I can be a bonobo and a colony of bees

Sure, I know she has the Cunk persona, but I think her responses to some of the deeper philosophical questions Ricky is proposing are genuine- which is fair enough. I think, in the the last one where they were discussing ghosts, for example, were closer to her natural reactions/beliefs. She does struggle/refuse to comprehend what he's proposing. So unlike Karl, definitely, but not totally different.
