Stomach vacuums used to be the staple for abdominal workout to help build a stronger core and slim your waist line. Sad thing it is no longer used for body builders and in fitness regimens. The bubble gut in modern times shows a lack of muscle control, especially when you see bodybuilders breathing heavy. Excellent tutorial by the way.

3rduncle Yes, that is an aspect, but do you see bodybuilders even attempt stomach vacuums or recommend it as an ab exercise? Fitness teachers and classes don't mention it at all. The classic physiques like Steve Reeves and Vince Gironda were the most aesthetically pleasing. Paul Dillet was one man during poses Schwarzennegar commentated on his lack of muscle control in his stomach, when he could not hold a pose and breathed heavily.

If you get your body to burn fat from low carbs and/or light fasting, you can get comfortable with an empty stomach but still have high energy. A little bulletproof coffee and lowing the simple carbs a couple times a week generally does the trick. I like your channel. Nice work!

The longer you do the breathing, the longer you can hold your breath to do the intercostal exercise, so it's really up to you. So yes, Kron and Rickson do the initial breathing quite a bit different and this is just my version. :) I made a couple other vids with a little more detail and some interesting Rickson details. So, basically these are progressions? Since not everyone can start off with the side-to-side movement, then they would just start off with making a vacuum and as their abdominal muscles get stronger they would be better able to control them and move them side to side? Does this sound right?

The Nauli kriya is one of the most important exercises in Yoga. It is dangerous though if you do it wrong. Be on an empty stomach, breaths must be smooth, dont force it. If done PROPERLY It oxygenates your brain and organs, removes toxins from the system, smooths out stagnated blood and cleanses the intestines. Provides a good massage to the organs when done correctly.

But Rickson and most diaphramatic breathing techniques (pranayama, Russian Systema) inhale nasally and exhale through the mouth. I have never seen it done this technique. Can you explain this? Because all that I have read on practiced make it clear to inhale through the nose to fill the lower lobes of the lungs rather than the mouth which only fills the top of our lungs and also activates our panic nerve receptors. Something that nasal breathing does the opposite of. Which is the point of diaphragmatic breathing, to remain calm.

Just came off a video saying we breathe improperly,,, the chest and shoulders should not move at all, just like we all breathed naturally before the age of 5. Than he goes straight into a big shoulder and upper body movement breath lol... That is all… bye

This wasn’t an example of how to breathe throughout your day. This was an example of how to dump CO2 fast then do stomach exercises. There are lots of video saying we breathe improperly but don’t address how breathing that way might be useful.
