It was actually revealed that Jeremy, James, and Richard made a pact that should one of them die while filming the show, the other two would open the next episode of the show announcing the death, and after a minute of silence, continued with a comical "anyway.." and soldier on with the show's segment as if nothing had happened. I think it brilliantly shows their bond as a team, as they've mentioned that the reason the rest of the team always left the one that broke down during their trips behind was because they believe so long as the others carry on, the team carries on, and in that way, everybody no matter what, gets to finish their adventure together.

andrew evolution, what would you expect to happen? Were you expecting the car to levitate before it hit the ground and fly itself back to the road? No matter how expensive or well designed the car is, it still obeys physics and if you take a corner faster than the car can handle then it will under/overstear and possibly crash if the driver loses control.

After watching this several times & drawing as much detail as I could from it… it is WELL worth mentioning. Rimac, as a manufacturer & as a man - has my sincere respect. Most any manufacturer I could name, I would FULLY expect to throw a blanket over this and publicly reveal ONLY what a court or some other ‘authority’ would make them reveal. Rimac not only did not do that, they’ve allowed this which seems to be an honest and open discussion of the car’s strengths & the car’s possible weaknesses. It might or might not be the ‘smart’ thing from a business standpoint. I think it IS smart. And I must admit, if I were in the market for an all-electric super car… it would be a Rimac or nothing. I cannot find adequate words to describe how much I appreciate everyone creating this, filming it, and allowing us all to see it. There is a WEALTH of detailed information available here, and it rightfully should increase interest not simply for Hamster but for the Rimac brand as well.

Actually no. Fires from car crashes make up of 0.09% of all motor vehicle crashes. Here's your proof. Electric cars are prone to catching fire due to the way lithium reacts with air like most batteries. Petrol cars are generally much safer as they require a petrol leak then a spark, batteries can explode under friction. saferide4kids.com/blog/car-fires-vehicle-submersion/

And its something we've known for a while now, lithium batteries self ignite when punctured, burn long and hot, and can not be put out until they've run out of fuel (because they re-ignite after a moment). The car was remarkably stucturally sound, but has its own set of problems due to its method of energy storage.

Mate is the name of the guy, it's not pronounced as Meyt it's not same as a mate, it's pronounced as Mathe and Rimac is his surname, Rimac is not pronounced as Rimak but Rimats, so Mathe Rimats. I come from Croatia so I am correcting you guys. Also, while I'm here. I'm pretty sure many of you know the Niko Belic from GTA IV, this time for him, it's not Niko Belik it's Niko Belich because surname Belic is originally written Belić and letter ć is pronounced like " ch " so Niko Belich, all southeastern European surnames ends on ć every single surname. Modrić, Subašić, Nikolić, Ramić, Dolić, Krajinić, Zorić, Vidić and thousands of others, between them Belić, so it's not Belik it's Belich and it's not Rimak, it's Rimats. Rimac is unique surname here tho :D Mathe Rimats and Niko Belich :D Sorry for taking your lovely time

considering the nature of the crash, it's evident that rimac builds a very solid chassis and shell, because the cabin maintained its integrity even after a big drop and going over several times. the fire was to be expected, when you mangle a bunch of high voltage wires it's just going to happen. i do clearly believe that what happened was a mixture of richard reflexively trying to drive the car as if it were NOT super intelligent, and the car taking that reflex as command and sort of over-doing it. all around, however, incredible car, and we're all happy that the Hampster is still with us for more seasons of inane babble and fun road trips.

Matt S This is not a competition about who can survive a crazier crash. You cannot reproduce crashes in the open like that in order to claim that a jeep is safer than anything else. I guarantee you if you took 100 people, put them in a crash that involved rolling 300 feet, not everyone would make it out of that jeep. By design the jeep rolls over much easier and it's not known as having the best crash tests so I don't know why you keep bringing it up. If you'd like to compare, the electric Model X got the highest crash test results of any SUV so again your Jeep example may have been pure luck.
