Richard Dawson's Final Words (Family Feud 1985 Finale)

Listen closely to Richard Dawson's Message. God bless all the children in this world. A wonderful message to us all.
It doesn't matter who we are and what we stand for, we are all put on this earth for a reason. We all should be loved and treated equally.
The world lost a wonderful, caring, funny, and charming man in Richard Dawson. Thank you for all the many years of laughing, but most of all, thank you for being YOU!
We love you Richard and never will forget you!!
In Loving Memory of Richard Dawson

Such an awesome kind man. Success never went to his head. He never forgot where he came from. Nobody fought harder for and wanted the contestants to win more than Richard Dawson did on Match Game as well as Family Feud. He really wanted people to win the money and have better lives. He truly cared.

I've always noticed something classy, smart, witty, and noble about Richard Dawson ever since I've been watching him on television. The way he spoke, his sartorial style, the way he carried himself and treated the Family Feud contestants and guests: he enthralled and earned my respect and admiration. He's one of the few best game hosts in the industry that was not all about Hollywood and showtime culture. His poignant profound parting words in his retirement have just confirmed my impressions of the man. His mother raised him well. Lucky and blessed family. RIP, Mr. Richard Dawson. R-E-S-P-E-C-T.

Michael Parris You can speak for yourself. I feel sorry for you. And for all the people who believe that everyone is racist. I was raised to judge people by how they treated others. And majority of people are the same way. But the elite are the ones who need us divided. Cause if we ever unite, we would realize who our enemy is, and stop them. But it is written. So it will be. But it won't stop me from appreciating kind people

They were, I remember it well. What do you think Trump means with "make America great again"? Well he's talking about things like this where people were more thoughtful and when America was leading the world in technology and innovation. That pioneering spirit, back when things used to say "made in America" and not China. Sadly the media mocks him and turns it into something that the message isn't. The young people of today never knew that America, that world. If they had, they'd want it back. Instead of being the best, todays youth seem to want America to be at the bottom and to fail. They have no patriotism. The people of the past had all these things. Richard Dawson loved America so much he left this country of England and earned his citizenship and became American. He even adopted an American accent as evidenced by this video clip.

That speech. Wow. Beautiful. The kissing thing bothered my parents. Me too, for another reason. I was worried about him getting herpes, which was the famous pre-AIDS disease of the time, not smooching black chicks. But then again, this white boy had a crush on Roxie Roker from The Jeffersons back then.

On stage I always enjoyed him in HH, TMG or FF. I don't recall him ever degrading someone else. He would and did laugh at life and others. If he thought his laughter was understood as hurtful, he apologized and offered clarification. I saw him as a gentle, humorous and kind soul cut of a similar mold as Victor Borge. Thank you for the uploaded remberances of respectful genuineness.
