Had he made it to 100 I'm certain they would've thrown him a huge birthday bash. But true to his persona, he made it to the nearest retail price without going over. RIP, Bob, and thank you for your service to our country.

I was a contestant on TPIR earlier this season, in fact, on the first day of taping in the new studio about a month before Bob passed. Drew does a great job and couldn't have been nicer, but I couldn't help but think of Bob during the experience. I was a teenager in the audience during season 1 in 1972, had attending numerous tapings over the years during the Barker Era, and had the opportunity to interview Bob for an hour on the radio in 1999. It's a shame that the show is no longer taped in the Bob Barker Studio at CBS, but Bob's presence is still felt. How could it not be? He hosted the show for 35 years. Rest in peace, Bob Barker.

Bob Barker was the best host of The Price is Right. He, Alex Trebek and Pat Sajak were my faves growing up

I would have liked to have seen him reach 100, it's a shame it didn't happen, he seemed quite active during his 90s, I wonder what Barker and Carter would look like if they lived to the year 2034 and had become supercentenarians?

Bob Barker and Jimmy Carter deserved to reach 100, they are good people, not like Henry Kissinger who didn't deserve it.

good people? At least I understand Jimmy/Rosalynn because of what they did after the presidency to help, but why can Bob Barker be considered good people? He hasn't done anything notable except being the one who spoke in these contests about the price is right, mind you, I'm not saying the opposite, but Bob hasn't done anything notable, just presenting those games, nothing more.

Why would someone spend their entire life running a gaming contest? I find it extremely ridiculous, which is why I agree that Bob Barker wasted time throughout his life, he has done nothing notable other than direct that game show where people won prizes like money or cars.

@@Exactamente. So the tens of millions he gave for animal rights and to Zoos wasn't notable? Obviously if you're calling TPIR a "gaming contest" you must not be from the States. Betty white was on TV up until her 90s also, was she also a do nothing?

Watched this show religiously until the day he left. No offense to Drew, but no one could fill those shoes. You can even hear the booing in the audience in this video when Bob introduced him.
