Always enjoy hearing Rich and all of the legends

I saw my first drag race when I was 10 yrs old , at the 1964 Winternationals in Pomona , and right then and there I was hooked ! Later in high school you could go to Lions and see a 36 car top fuel show . This is when 3 guys could team together and build a fuel dragster for $ 10k . Now days it costs in excess of $ 15 million to run one for one season and they are hard pressed to put half a dozen cars together in a show. I'm now seeing a rebirth of the AA/GS class because the little guys can still afford to build and race them .May their tribe increase . 😎👍

You and Rich echo what I have been saying for years about the direction of nostalgia top fuel, funny car and now nostalgia fuel altered. I f..kin hate the fact that the people with the deep pockets have ruined the top three nostalgia classes so much I don't attend those events anymore and haven't for the last 6-7yrs......I support the real nostalgia events like the nitro revival.

Steve Carbone played Garlits' to perfection....I'm glad Buster didn't shut them down....Steve gave the slingshot it's final hurrah by winning that event....The 69,70,71 events all go down in history in my book anyway....69 is where John Mulligan had his clutch failure which led to that horrendous fire that claimed his life weeks later, the next year Jim Nicoll had his catastrophic clutch explosion in the final against Prudhomme and then the event the next year that started this comment....
