Revelle needs to produce 1/25 scale versions of "Pure Hell" and "Pure Heaven" Altereds to compliment their "Chi-Town Hustler" release a few years back.

Awesome to hear Rich's history from the horses mouth. I gotta say Rich, I (& I'm sure a load of other young kids) spent many an hour gazing at those beautiful shots of chaotic Pure Hell.

My dad took me to Fremont Drag Strip for the first time when I was 10 years old. Pure Hell was there, I was absolutely hooked on drag racing after that weekend!

I just came across your channel, now subscribed . I have followed drag racing my entire life , and that is some straight talk from one of the legends As they say : Fuel Altereds Forever". Many thanks.
Through high school, I always followed the fuel altereds, searching the magazines for coverage from those California meets. Over the years, the Goodguys and other vintage events have helped me to meet all my favorites. I had never seen a picture of Rich smiling all those years, but was pleased to see his big old smile while searching for the right size t-shirt for my grandson. The picture over my recliner is Pure Hell with the sky-high small block. All the fuel altered guys are just great to talk with!

Fanastic! Hearing a legend tell his story is just awe inspiring. A-and the fact that he still owns and drives his AMBR car is just another notch in his belt of legendary status. Thank you for sharing this.

Lyons Dragstrip, wow, I spent alot of weekends there. My main attraction was Stone Woods and Cook and their '41 gasser. There was a lot of freedom on the track in the '60's. Do you remember the fire burnouts with nitro? I was sad to see it go
