Thank you for this tutorial definitely going to try to make a ribbon skirt as soon as I decide on a sewing machine. Mine broke and it was going to take 8 weeks to get it repaired and they could not give me a price on the repair before hand.

The white edges are called salvage. It would have been nice to see you adding in the pockets. Do you now have a tutorial on adding pockets? You did an amazing job. Keep up the great work and Thank You for sharing.

The child in the background just proves your a real Pearson and you have to sew sometimes when there around I prefer homely atmosphere to a studio settings

I used slightly less than two yards of fabric to make my skirt. I have 32 inch waist and 42 inch hips.

That edge piece is called the salvage and the colors are all the colors in the material I find it best to cut it off because it can shrink at a different rate than the rest of material giving you a wrinkly hem
