Thank you for this tutorial definitely going to try to make a ribbon skirt as soon as I decide on a sewing machine. Mine broke and it was going to take 8 weeks to get it repaired and they could not give me a price on the repair before hand.

Washing your fabric first helps for shrinkage and coloring bleeding

The white or thicker edge is called the selvage of your material. Love the fabric. Your instructions are great and easy to follow.

That edge piece is called the salvage and the colors are all the colors in the material I find it best to cut it off because it can shrink at a different rate than the rest of material giving you a wrinkly hem
