off down in 2 hours with a float and feeder rod some bread and casters. its dropping nicely hopefully ill get a float down

No you are wrong, Saturday was the 7th October, today is Sunday 8th October. You are forgetting there was only 30 days in September 😊😊😊

I'm looking to do some lure fishing for perch any advice? I went today on the free stretch and I didn't bother really as was running wild!

Hi Dale, the Perch will be in the slack areas when the river is up and in flood. They will be gorging on the bait fish that will be resting in the slack water. The best lures to use for them are the jig head creature baits, worms and minnows, the small cray fish on a 7g jig fished really slow with pauses and tiny movements work well. Please let me know how you get on, I will be doing a few winter perch videos before the season ends.
