Just great stuff mate you present things so well, and to see the baby kestrel was just the icing on the cake.👍👍👍🎣🎣🎣

good to see another video, i must give this a try myself, i've no patience for watching a rod in a rodrest! this method seems more proactive. nice simple rigs too, well explained. good luck Ian!😊👍

Cheers Matey! Aye! Definitely more fun holding a rod in hand, you feel everything! Rarely miss a bite. You can get an idea what’s happening down there. I was fooled by that chub! It sprang off on a run, I think it thought it was a barbel. As soon as I turned it away from the snag then I knew it was coming in too easily. I returned and had numerous barbel a few days later. I couldn’t catch a chub if I tried! I will post that one next

@PikerBiker ha ha! Fools barbel! Chub have mugged me many times over the years, for a moment they've been salmon, sea trout, big brownies, pike and many times barbel! Same with bream when targetting tench! The 1st strong run has you duped!

They get me every time on that swim as they know the snags and motor straight for them

I believe I was using a camo cage feeder with a run ring to eliminate resistance to feel the bites. Drennan make them, as do Korum and the Nisa feeders are also very good.

About time you popped up again on the ribble I'm yet to catch a barbel from the stretch you fish on. You've given me loads of great hints and tips from your previous videos that's helped me in my preparation ready for a session on the ribble

@@mickbrooks8114 you will definitely get a few in that location. My mate had loads up to 12lb! Keep me informed how you get on

@@ProAnglingNW thanks Aaron! I am sure you will hit into a barbel soon. They seem to be coming out regularly at the moment as my friend reported a red letter day! He had over 10 fish to 12lb. Keep at it and your day will come!

not really touch ledgering with all that weight on.

I get ye but touch ledgering has no parameters, which is why I love it so much! The weight has to hold in the current with it being a fast glide, anything lighter and it wouldn’t hold. It still is touch ledgering regardless of the weight
