Thank you guy! After seminars, loads of tutorials, two years of working as a jewelry designer (with success, too), I can't believe I didn't know _orient. I was going for move->rotate->scale... Great tutorial, btw! Clean audio, direct, efficient.

Very good and clear explanation. Thanks. For me these videos mostly teach me new ways of approaching techniques to draw. I'm always taking huge detours and end up drawing something that doesn't look exactly how I planned it. But the last few days I've been digging in deeper and deeper and since I've discovered how the History option works yesterday a whole new world opened up to me! Orient with 3D-scale seems to be something I needed a lot on previous projects, very nice to see how it works. You can do almost everything in Rhino without plugins. Currently I'm using the beta version on Mac, I can only hope that they finish it soon so I can use the full functionality :)

  • @billedwards4803

+Logan Armagost - One way is to type "Mirror" in whole or in part (Commands), and with the Osnaps on, select the first pivot point, then shift constrain the centerline. I also had trouble with the "hot key" idea for the Gumball multitool, but as an alternative you can just type "RelocateGumball" one time, then you can grab it quick from the right click menu thereafter. HTH. Nice tutorial Eric - best I've seen so far. Thanks.

SubD in Blender? NURBs surface modeling has a very steep learning curve, but once you master it I find I'm able to make most shapes faster. I should update this video with things I've learned in the past 7 years. Also, here's a side by side comparison of making the same shape in NURBs and SubD: kzread.info/dash/bejne/p3mCu86Mk7DNl84.html kzread.info/dash/bejne/X519l6ZslrTXqdY.html
