Couragous play. He was the main reason UCLA won that game other than the defense line dominating the Trojan O-line. Not the greatest QB, but he played with a ton of heart.

helpless? The QB for UCLA was running the ball. He's game. The tackle technique was also totally legal until the institution of the targeting rules. Bear Bryant is the coach at Bama who started letting players tackle like that in the 1970's

13-9. Been a bruin fan since i was a child, and yeah, we've had a number of down years recently, but hey, ill watch every game and cheer my face off no matter what. There a true trojan fans, but for the most part, theres a hell of a lot of frontrunners. Hell, on sports radio last week ( i live in LA ) they asked 10 trojan fan callers who coached before pete caroll. 1 person out of 15callers named Paul Hackett. Where were you all when the trojans were mediocre for 10 years before pete?

@hayansupakane77 Runners and football players can lead with their shoulders. I play football in one of the best prep schools in the country so u can't say the I have never played. Next the difference between head and shoulders is that the angle of pursuit is different and rather than a larger blow required to tackle someone, you can hit lower and wrap up. It makes sense if u see how football is changing and such hits are preventable

this was 4 years ago when there were no rules against helmet to helmet and u would never say that if u played football cause runners always lead with their head so the rule makes no fucking sense at all

Zumwalt is a dirty player but that hit was clean...difference between two hits was that Thomas threw the ball, then was hit.
