I love the design. I hope to try a 228 usa made at some point. I kick myself for not picking one up when they were 450 bucks on the second hand. 😩

Love Micarta. Looks like a winner to me.

I really enjoy this model This one 229 I modified for you is by far my favorite. Just a really cool overall design

Oh yeah ! Hands down. Take all the sentiment out if the equation and I still wouldn't trade the 229 you made for me for any knife I've ever touched. No fluff no bs. I like the knife that much. Ergonomically perfect. Perfect size for me. Heavy duty, tough as nails...my most used knife consecutively and I don't see that changing. Dave you may have ruined knives for me by making that one so good bro. 😅🤣🤣

What a beast. I'd love to have one of the USA-made versions. Gotta keep my eye out for one! 😎👍

Thank you for the video Billy & Courtney. Don't get me wrong. It's not a bad looking knife, but I just prefer something larger. I guess that's why they make so many different styles. Everyone has their own flavor.

Spartan has the best coated blades imo. I dint care for coated blades that don't last. My old benchmade rift...that poor thing ...paper and cardboard would rub the coating off. But if the coating actually sticks ...I can see the value. IN that respect though...I only understand coated blades that are high carbon vs super stainless.

@@apex_alchemy_knives ME TOO , + i am a drummer so i fidget with them n my sticks n such , i have this aqualung diver;s knife here for trade/swap/barter if you know anybody + i have other stuff i can trade too , its not new by any means though , its pure stainless steel, let me know > tom !

I will always pick micarta over G10, it's just a "warmer" material to me. I know it's probably not as strong, and it stains, but it's always just felt better to me.

Does the order even matter? I have never worried about a set agenda on a video. This looks like that really good grippy micarta. There are so many versions and was of making it. Just like making videos, there is no right or wrong, just preferences.

I'm not connecting the dots on the order and the agenda just yet. The micarta on this one is pretty smooth. Like...richlite almost. I'll have to go back and watch to see what I said about order and agenda. I'm old and have a short memory 🤣😎👊
