Okay the real reason why Sarah and Jimmy's framing of the Eds (as well as Kevin's involvement with them) doesn't work is because how the beginning was structured. Hear me out, I agree with Jem that the episode was about Sarah & Jimmy "giving" the Eds a taste of their own medicine, however the major problem with that is how the execution is played out. During the very first scene of the episode its show with Kevin, Sarah and Jimmy in the library. Kevin is casually minding his own business, in fact we can clearly see that he's trying to study/work on a school assignment that he needed to pass to stay on the sports team. What do Sarah and Jimmy do as a response to Kevin telling them to "pipe down he's trying to study"? Sarah brushes off Kevin's remark with a Eh whatever look then proceeds to scream at the top of her lungs while reading each page of the fairytale book to Jimmy solely to irritate Kevin as a result, this also includes Jimmy running around the library screaming. So really how are Sarah and Jimmy justified in anyway to give the Eds "payback" when Jimmy's entire reason for being sad in the first place was from Kevin's harsh criticism toward him stating "Fairytales don't exist"? Something Kevin would've NEVER said had not Jimmy nor Sarah bothered him to begin with. So why should we side with Sarah & Jimmy's actions if it was their fault to begin with? That's why their actions in the ending are bad. With this in mind, the fact that he shows up randomly in the end with Sarah and Jimmy to humiliate the Eds makes no sense. Why would he just team up with them to gain "proof" Fairytales exist? You see what I mean? With Kevin being their specifically it makes the ending imply that the entire thing (or at least to some degree) that everything that happened was a scam to humiliate the Eds from the start. That's what makes this worse. Had Kevin not been their and Sarah & Jimmy did that to give proof to Kevin it would've been more beliveable, but the ending makes everything seem like it was a big scam, I will give this episode some props though: I love that the Eds are trying to help Jimmy retain his beliefs through their usual antics. But even they have a point: fairy tales like Aladdin and junk like that aren't real, and at some point, you have to accept that fairy tales are just that. *The problem with Tinker Ed is that Eddy and Kevin are played as the antagonist for trying to snap Jimmy back to reality, even though they technically are jerks about it, they're still kinda right in their assessments.* Yes the Eds did add more fuel to the situation, and while you could argue that Eddy was scamming Jimmy by using his belief in fairytales, once again Kevin is the one who triggered Jimmy in the first place, so the fact he randomly appears with them in the end leaves a bad implication in my mouth. Imagine if Eddy's scam would've worked Jimmy would've been happy that his beliefs were real in his own POV, the only reason the scam fails was because Eddy gets carried away. When Sarah shows up to make them cheer up Jimmy she isn't mad at them because they took the quarter, she's made because their failed scam made him even more sad, but why would Sarah not be mad a Kevin for insulting Jimmy's belief in Fairytales, but get mad at the Eds for doing the same? Double D only thinks he's helping Jimmy, and Ed is just swayed into doing it. The ending basically states that Kevin can say and do whatever he wants regardless, but whenever the Eds do anything even slightly off guard they deserved to be humiliated for it. Yeah because everyone loves hypocrisy. Jimmy actually manages to scam Eddy to getting back his quarter for a fake Golden Horseshoe (ok, that's actually fair), but then he reveals he was never actually depressed to begin with! So because the Eds try to help Jimmy retain his fairy tale beliefs, they get punished for actually trying to do a good deed for once not only by getting beaten down for Sarah and Jimmy's amusement, they also get an embarrassing picture of them in fairy tale get ups thanks to Kevin; this means he was in on the scam the whole time despite the beginning being to the contrary.

Ah im so not funny lol but i like what you said, i honestly never viewed tinker ed that way, i viewed it as jimmy kinda grew up after the eds shattered his dream, like he accepted that fairy tails werent real and then just wanted his quarter back and to make the eds pay, but even from that mindset, its still really poorly executed and would've benefited from a slight rewrite, and i can see how you'd take it as jimmy and sarah from the start were scamming the eds because a lot of the choices they made were so terrible that it could've easily given off that impression as well

But you can't use that excuse because Jimmy was the one who started the mess in the first place. Jimmy was in a "depressed state" because Kevin had insulted him, however had Sarah and Jimmy not irritated Kevin on purpose to begin with Eddy wouldn't have "scammed" him. How are we suppose to feel sorry for Jimmy when he's the one who ran into being told off? Eddy just simply played off what was already done. Sure I agree Eddy deserved some sort of payback for the quarter, but Jimmy & Sarah are virtually no better. And the ending makes Kevin out to be a giant hypocrite.

Yes. From the start of the episode, Jimmy and Sarah loudly read a book on Fairy-Tales, however Kevin politely asks both of them to keep it down, only for Sarah to basically scream at the top of her lungs page by page just to irritate Kevin. So right from the get go Sarah and Jimmy are purposely annoying someone when all he wanted to do was study for a Homework assignment, plus Kevin does have a point it's a library where people go to study! How are we suppose to side with Jimmy or Sarah because their actions caused Kevin to insult Jimmy's belief in the first place, and right then Kevin and Eddy are played as antagonists for it. Yet you can't really feel bad for someone who purposely asked to get insulted. Had the Ed's scam been the ONLY thing that set off Jimmy then I would've believed more that their actions were more for payback, but the fact the ending implies the Ed's scam was just a trap they fell into just makes the episode even worse. Then right when Jimmy gets is quarter back from Eddy we Jimmy was never depressed to begin with it was all a giant hoax (Double D even states this) to frame the Eds for NO reason other than to humiliate them for their enjoyment. And their scam played right into their hoax. And none of this had anything to do with the quarter at all. I agree Eddy may have made things worse but if Jimmy was never depressed to begin with this makes the entire episode from the beginning all one giant scam by Sarah, Kevin and Jimmy. It basically implies it at the end when Kevin shows up with both of them, even though in the beginning his statements about fairy-tales lead you to believe otherwise. So in theory all of them are hypocrites.

How to fix: Mission Ed-Possible. The twist ending where Rolf was the one who delivered the report card? Make it a surprise to double D too. Have it so Double D has two envelopes that Ed and Eddy think are their report card, but in reality was just a letter of recommendation and his report card or something. Every time Double D tries to explain, Eddy cuts him off, and the chase is Double D escaping Ed and Eddy.

Except Double D wasn't really in the wrong there. I really think people overlook what Ed and Eddy want to do. If they changed their report cards, they will eventually get caught. Even back when the episode came out, the report card was not the only marking the teacher has on a student. It's a copy to show their parents. They would eventually fail and be in even worse trouble. In terms of Ed's abusive parents, while I won't deny the evidence, keep in mind that this show is over the top in physical comedy, so it could also be just a joke as well. Remember there was a time where Sarah dropped a freaken car on Nazz? And even then, Double D is not Ed's father. Lastly, while it is true that you should help your friends, sometimes helping your friends may not be in their best interest. If your friend broke the law, are you really helping them by covering for them? I don't know about you, Jem, or Anti-Jem but my parents would kill me if I ever did something as stupid as change my report card grades.

Edd always ticked me off in Mission Ed Possible simply for the amount of exertion he put in to exposing his friends. After seasons of seeing him hate any form of physicality and nearly bust an artery just from running a bit, to see him put this much effort so willingly to get his friends in trouble really got me angry.

In all farness, lying to your parents about your report card is even worse. And Eddy and Ed more than happy to do that I think the hate for Edd in that episode is a bit dumb. I don’t know about you but, my parents would be even more pissed if they found out I changed my report card grades Sometimes you have to learn lessons the hard way and letting Ed and Eddy change their report cards and cover up their poor grades to get out of trouble isn’t going to help them

I hated Double D for basically being a snitch back then but when I think about it yeah, he probably was doing them a favor. We all know how Ed’s parents get down. I remember I got grounded for 4 months in 5th grade for trying to cover something on my progress report, way more than I would have gotten i wouldn’t have tried to be sneaky. Lying never helps when it comes to grades.

@@ArcticFoxMark I remember when I was younger, I hated the Simpsons episode: "Itchy and Scratchy the Movie" for how Homer punished Bart and did everything in his power to prevent him from seeing that movie, even after he nearly got beat up for not seeing it. But when I got older and looked back on it, I love the episode. Homer's parenting in that was actually pretty good, and it gave Bart an actual successful future. (That I still to this day consider canon over the other future episodes) It's funny how time can affect our opinions of cartoons, isn't it?

I think you're missing some elements in Momma's Little Ed, the only reason Double D was able to fall for the sticky note pranks was because Ed and Eddy copied Double D's parents handwriting. Though it's baffling to know why a smart character like Edd doesn't find it at least suspicious about why would his parents would even make him do something unusual, you think Double D would try to catch on quickly than continue the charade. The part where Edd guilts Eddy is debatable especially when Eddy half heartedly tells Doube D the truth about pranking him with the sticky notes and Double D doesn't believe him. Also it was Ed that guilted Eddy into taking Double D in.

Personally, "Cleanliness is next to Edness" has always been my least favourite episode. It's so unnecessarily mean-spirited towards Edd (seriously, all he wanted to do was take a simple shower!) On top of that, the episode is gross and not even funny. It seriously rubbed me the wrong way and leaves a bad taste in my mouth every time I watch it.

I agree, it’s easily a top 5 worst episode. If they wanted it to work they should’ve made Double D arrogant and cocky (much like his behavior in Sorry Wrong Ed.) and have him show off his cleanliness so that way when he gets dirtier it’s justified karma.

Hell I remembered that episode when I was a kid. Little Eddy was trying to get a nice school picture to show his mom; and if she approves the picture she will give him the keys to his older brother's old room. And all the kids were complete assholes to poor Eddy and made fun of him bc of his first mistake. I felt bad for him on that episode...

I enjoy that episode even though it's cruel. It got me emotional and the ending was satisfying. It's nice to see a school episode where Eddy avoids getting his ass kicked and the Kankers didn't get their way.

There’s another bad Ed, Edd, N Eddy episode. Cleanliness is next to Edness. Where Double D wants a shower, and gets dirtier because of it! He just wants a shower, but the Eds make him dirtier and hurts him.

If anything about EEnE, it's the fact that the kids hate the Eds, to a very strong degree, so the fact that there are episodes where they're "punished" for no reason, I always summed it up as them just having fun taunting the three since it's been established since season one that they are hated, and for good reasons. Am I saying that makes the bad episodes "not as bad" episodes? By all means, no, not at all. But it's not hard to really understand that sometimes kids do mean things to other kids, even if it's just out of nowhere and for laughs. Mean-spirited or not, the kids have reasons to hate the eds no matter what they do, so it's not like it's foreign to see episodes like this.... especially the "5th episode", how the kids can just have fun messing with someone that they despise.

Well, there are a lot of fans who like making couples out of the characters. You know like Eddy and Nazz. However there is a lot of people who enjoy Keven x Double D. If you catch what I mean.

DD is book smart, Eddy and Ed both have vast (in Ed's case not so vast) levels of street smarts. Also taking in fact that DD is a huge germaphobe there is several reason's why the case of the Ed works as an episode. Ed and Eddy are both playing off those two facts, which have been shown in earlier shows, and driving DD to a point where he is having a mental break down. Somewhat resembling the Psych experiment of Little Albert and the white rabbit, where they train this infant to feel fear at this rabbit plus a few other things. In that I can saw that DD has gotten sick enough in his past to give him some of the check marks to assume he has a form of PTSD when relating to germs. The fact that, at the end, he is even taking doctor Ed serious means he is close enough to a mental break down that it is worrying.

Those 7 bad episodes are just a small dents to the 62 good episodes of Ed Edd Eddy meaning it still a good show no matter what. So Anti Jem can just deal with it.

You know Jem I believe Edd knew Ed Eddy were tricking him all along and gave Eddy his just desserts in the ending of the sticky note episode you can hear the tone of his voice when he shoves his foot in his face.

Have you thought in the future that you could do a vid on best episodes for each characters like which episode that you like represents the Kankers, Rolf, Kevin, Sarah, Edd, etc as the main lead role and focus. Like for example "Run for you Eds" is by far the best episode of the Kankers cause it captures their scary dilemma and personalities of what would it be like if they live near around our neighbourhood as you can see the huge amount of destruction towards everyone and everything in the cul-de-sac after one of their prized possessions got taken.

I dunno, Edd is probably my favourite of the Eds I do like Ed and Eddy a lot too, I really do But Edd somehow always the best to me

In Tinker Ed, I actually thought the running gag with Rolf being afraid that everyone was after his load of bologna was pretty funny

The parts I liked about the episode when Double D thought he was sick Did Dr Ed give you the rubber glove treatment yet? (Subliminal message) That's some good TV right there (I like 4th wall breaks) The part where Eddy mooned Kevin and Ed says "I am turning into a werewolf Eddy" (Nasty moment yet funny full moon joke)

I think the problem with Double D is that they sometimes wrote episodes for him that made him to be out of character like the telephone episode lol.

There are 4 'bad episodes' of EEnE and other episodes that might be bad have forgivable qualities. And yes, Double D is a great character.

Frisk It has 4 bad episodes (in my opinion). So basically it's on the edge of five bad episodes.

*Double D’s not an idiot, more paranoid and naive. He trusts ed and eddy since they’re his friends. He’s book smart not street smart.*

Aside from Smile for the Ed, I personally wouldn't consider these episodes horrible. I'd actually rate them as mediocre at best. Smile for the Ed is mean spirited and all, but I'd still say it's just dull. Honestly, I'm surprised nobody has talked about Is There an Ed in the House. I would say it's the worst other than your 3 worst, because it focuses on Ed trying to help his sick sister only to be upstaged by Jimmy EVERY TIME and Ed and Jimmy end up fighting for Sarah's acknowledgement only for her to only appreciate what Jimmy does and blow Ed off like it's nothing. Oh, and then there's the thing about spitting in Edd's face when he installs that paging system. Basically, characters who are just trying to help- Trying to help a character that they KNOW doesn't deserve their sympathy but they completely disregard that.- only for her to shit all over the good deeds they do for her because she's a spoiled rotten, ungrateful little twat. Why am I the only one acknowledging that here?

You do make great points on the matter, however I politely disagree. While Sarah should’ve been grateful that her older brother did what he could to make sure she was taken care of, it’s very in character of her. She never treated her brother right (at least not that I remember her really being that nice to him) so it makes sense that she would continue the verbal and physical abuse even when sick. It’s been hinted at (in my eyes anyways) at She likely picked up the habit of abusing sweet Ed from their parents as kids are influenced by their surroundings and whatever adults they usually look up to. Again, you’ve brought up good points and I can see where you’re coming from but I personally have no problem with the episode.

Red Phantom Wolf you're making good points too. But I honestly think this is a show that only focuses on the kids, like Peanuts, so we as the audience aren't supposed to take their parents into consideration. That's why I didn't say anything about them before and I just think Sarah's behavior in that episode is jarring even for Sarah. I like when Ed stands up to her and throws Jimmy out though. I still applaud Ed for that today.

I think Sarah should appreciate Ed more. She doesn't realize how lucky she is to have an older brother who cares so much about her. She could've had an older brother like Eddy's brother! Poor Eddy. When he was little he idolized his big brother, and yet his brother wanted nothing to do with him. It's the opposite case with Sarah and Ed. Ed loves his sister a lot, and wants the best for her, meanwhile Sarah wants nothing to do with him. I'm sure Ed would love it if Sarah looked up to him and followed him around like a little puppy dog. And you're completely right about this (I never really watched Ed Edd n' Eddy and barely remember it at all, but I'm judging this based on what you said) Does anybody here know that scene in South Park where Kenny, despite being as poor as he is, saved up his money to buy a doll for his little sister, just so she would be happy? Well, imagine if that were Ed and Sarah, and they were poor and living in a trailer, just like the Kankers. Here's what would happen: Ed presents Sarah with the doll, which he worked countless hours just to afford it. And he actually worked for it; he didn't create scams like Eddy always does. Sarah looks at the doll, tosses it to the ground, and yells: THIS ISN'T THE ONE I ASKED FOR!!!! A second later, Jimmy walks in and presents Sarah with the EXACT same doll. Now, Jimmy lives with a family of decent wealth, and he just bought the doll with his allowance. Sarah says: "Oh, Jimmy, you did that for ME?! You're so sweet! Of course, it's not the one I wanted, but it's the thought that counts." Ed, heartbroken and penniless, just pulls up the hood of his parka and cries. (Yeah, I'm imagining him wearing a parka, just like Kenny)

I've never seen an episode of this in my entire life. Now I feel terrible.

Stop bringing it up to date already that PhantomStrider Hates Ed Edd n Eddy. So what if he does? Its called having an opinion. Some people don't like Steven Universe (regardless if those reasons are good or not) and some people, believe it or not, love Teen Titans Go. People have different tastes. They can't like everything from there childhood even if others do. And they can't dislike the reboots because either nostalgia or they genuinely love it. And they don't always have to like a very popular show. Anyways Jem, nice hilarious vid. I like the Anti-Jem-sona there she was funny too XD Though judging by your expression at the end its meme worthy. Oh and I personally at first didn't like the episode of Eddy getting a pimple until the end came XD I completely .....QUACKED....up from laughter and just found myself unable to completely hate it anymore XDD

12:04 The drawing of Double D crying took me some time to get, but once I got it, it's so sad! Poor Double D. He wants his mama, but she's always off at work, leaving him behind with a bunch of sticky notes telling him: "Do this. Do that." Seriously, Mr. and Mrs. Double D. Show your kid some love every once in a while. You're not benefitting him in any way treating him like this; you're just making him feel unloved.

I can't believe this is the most popular video about Ed, Edd n' Eddy from this channel.

The only bad episode I can think of is Stop, Look, and Ed. It's the epiosde where Ed, Eddy and the rest of the kids were breaking public rules they locked Double D in his room. And the Eds got punished because Double D tattled on them for being indecent human being and put them in a cage hanging on a tree. That was fucked up. What did Double D do to deserve that?
