Review of the 2021 Indian Roadmaster Limited with Heated and Cooled seat and Passenger!

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

**Correction to weight. The Older Roadmasters were a heavy machine, but the new one has been on a bit of a diet shedding off some weight. The Limited Trim now weighs 890 full and ready to ride unlike even the standard Roadmaster for 2021 that weighs 909 where as the 2015 models I have rode previously weighed that 950. So a 40-50 lb weight reduction in only 5 years. Impressive**
Thanks once more to Indian of OKC for allowing the team and I to ride these awesome rides! Please let them know too if you are at their dealership because of these videos!

    An important consideration to the cooling seat is that it in turns helps to cool the blood flowing through the body. Cool blood on a hot day helps better to regulate body temperature and comfort.

But it was lacking amenities like passenger floorboards etc.Amazing how much it looks like the HD with the new fairing. I ride an ultra limited and love it. Another great video from you. I have a 2020 RM. I was at the dealership the other day and sat on the 21 with the heated/cooled seat. I found the new seat not as comfortable and and sits maybe an inch or so higher. I prefer the leather classic leather seat as I think it’s more comfortable and sits a lot lower . Personal opinion.

    Neat review! I have a 2019 RM I got mid-2020 and I love it. I don't like the look of the fairing on these 21 RMs. But it sure looks like it was riding nice and smooth for you guys! Do the 21s still bake your leg off if the cat is still installed? Did you get any heat from that area? Interesting they make them 116 now. That sounds nice. Sounds like plenty of power.

    I am not a good person to ask about heat. I live in Oklahoma where the wind stops sweeping down the plains in summer and we hit like 113 degrees sometimes, so I am so used to heat that apparently I miss when a bike bakes. For instance I have a 2019 Chieftain and I have not noticed much or any heat off the machine while going through town in the middle of summer. I feel more the heat and such coming from the pavement and cars around me oddly enough. The only bike I can tell you I felt was my old Night Rod. That thing could cook a human in the time Thanksgiving Turkey would cook in a 500 degree oven. And I could spread the love when the fans kicked on by pulling up just right as it dumped and fry the riders next to me. So compared to that thing, I guess I don't notice anymore.

    Liked the review, as such I visited the local Indian Dealer in Perth Western Australia. Managed a get a test ride and loved all aspects of the bike exempt 1 (one). I'm 5'9" 175cm when looking at the Speedo and Tacho whilst riding the top portions numeric values are not visible, ie between 340 - 40 degrees - 60-90. rather that the portion is blocked by the top of the dash which protrudes out to give shading from direct sunlight. I was inquiring if you noticed this or anyone else, or is it possible the motorcycle I rode has deficits with the fairing mounts. Or due to the 40mm increase in seat height ( previous model to climacontrol) that Indian has overlooked that riders will be perched higher with seat.

    I hope that the comfort part of that seat has improved. The stock seat on my 2018 RM, is equal to the mid 60’s 70’s Triumph, 750 Honda, Gold Wing, other words completely useless. I did go with the Saddlemen, which so far is great. Looks like they still have the same handlebars, I had to add +6 now I can sit up right and comfortable. Otherwise, look pretty close to the same. A few electrical changes. I’ve put about 6000 miles on in 2 months and really starting to like it very much.

  • @CraigSmith568

    I have never found a stock seat that I liked. So, if you change the seat to get a more comfortable one do you lose the heat and cool?

  • @bryanterry6387

    @bryanterry6387

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yes you do loose the heat and cool the reason the seat cools is it has a cooling fan in it for passenger and rider. They do make aftermarket seats that have these features for Harley I'd think they would for Indian too. I've test road the Roadmaster with the older seat to me it seemed tobe way better than stock harley seat maybe someone thats clocked a lot of miles on the factory seat can chime in on the comfort.

  • @RabidHedgehog

    @RabidHedgehog

    3 жыл бұрын

    I have clocked nearly 5000 miles on the "rogue" (don't know why I want to call it a gunner seat), that this is based off of and I know max saddle time is about 4 hours before you have to have to stretch. They make a "classic" version of this seat as well which maybe better as I liked that seat on the older Roadmasters and clocked some decent mileage with them, just never that 4 hour mark. So at least for this stock seat it would probably wear on me. As even my wife stated the passenger seat somehow is not as good as the one on my Chieftain despite being the same ish design.

    The way the audio is done is using Tascam DR-05X field recorders for each rider tied to Purple Panda Lav mics. The way we talk to each other is through a Cardo PackTalk Slim (or bold) so that we can play off of each other. Each helmet is also fitted with GoPro 7 or 8s at this time as well. Everything is then synced up in Premier.

I have talked to other seat company's and the Corbin has a 1yr warranty on the leather of the seat and a life time warranty on the components of the seat.
