    G'day RH. My wife has told me that she would ride with me as a pillion if I had a big, comfy bike. Guess I just found the bike in question!! Beautiful bike, great review. Wonder if the wife will allow me to spend $40K+ on it! Maybe I should just ask for forgiveness than permission! Glad you mentioned the new Challenger RH, as a liquid cooled engine would be more suitable for the conditions that I ride in, as it can get a little warm in certain parts of Australia. You guessed it, I live in one of those parts!! If the challenger gets a tour pack as an add on, then I will most certainly entertain the idea of getting one. Decisions, decisions!! Great review brother, really appreciate it. Stay safe.

    I understand that they are not for everyone. My preference would always be sport as my standard, even cable throttle standards, snap to attention that fast and that is what I am accustomed to. I do believe that when power outputs are changed is when it works the best.

    The key differences on this year will be the fairing styles and seats. The regular Roadmaster has a wide thicker saddle whereas the Dark Horse shares the thinner more narrow seat with the Chieftain. Another thing is the shape of the fairing being the rounded style with fog lamps vs. the blunt style with single head light. Also the saddle bags are rounded on the standard vs the more square version. The regular also has a luggage rack for it's top case.

    Ed Burhop 2up on the Roadmaster is so smooth providing you adjust the rear shock for the weight of your gear you and passenger. I have the 2018 and it’s a big difference from a CVO Electra glide. The balance is great stands up with a bump of your thigh vs man handle. Lower center of gravity than most brands. The infotainment center upgrade is a software update no extra charge. Also fully loaded with all LED lights standard for Indian and extra for Harley. Both great bikes but you get more for your money with Indian.

  • @RabidHedgehog

    @RabidHedgehog

    4 жыл бұрын

    They do not have a CB option. I am noticing that if anyone is using a CB they are attaching it to the handlebars to communicate. Most have the Bluetooth option these day. My Chieftain has the same RideCommand system that allows Bluetooth coms to be synced to the bike. I do understand that CB has a better range and ability vs. Bluetooth, but most riders of this age do not see it that way.

    I demo'd a Roadmaster Dark Horse the end of September & it had the Stage 1 Kit & the Mid Rise Handlebars. It was quite snappy in Sport Mode. I hated the handlebars. Overall bike just felt small compared to my Victory Cross Country Tour. I didn't care for it. Trunk is definitely smaller than the Roadmaster Classic so I'd lean more towards it but I hate the look of the front end. I'm more excited for the liquid cooled power plus motor & the Indian Challenger. Great Informative video by the way.

    Boo on Indian. No passenger floorboards and that little, square passenger seat is no bueno for two up touring. I find the color boring as hell, but at least they put enough shiny bits on the engine to give it the contrast necessary to detect it's actually a V Twin in there. HD engine bays are so black these days, they might as well just stick black, plastic boxes on them. Wouldn't look any different from a short distance away and they could save a ton of money hiding all the wiring, tubing, and whatnot. I'm holding out hope for the Challenger. If that idiot CEO Wine lets his engineers do their thing, it will be a great bike.
