Review of Cheap Chinese Fairings on my Wrecked Yamaha R1

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

I mounted a Chinese fairing kit on my wrecked 2007 Yamaha R1 4C8 rebuild, I didn’t have any experience with those eBay fairings and could only see reviews online, so I figured I would make a video to show what to expect, at least on my model…
I spent much time showing the fitment and paint quality on this video, I hope it helps!

Nice video, im rebuilding my R1 4c8 at the moment and using Chinese fairings ..I found if you use a heat gun on the those bumps on upper front side fairings at the join you can straighten them out ..before fitting back heat inside and bend inwards then fit ... so far im happy with Chinese fairings and the fitment.

On an 08 R1 I rebuilt for a friend, the side fairings came off at speed. Basically the molded pieces that are inside the main side fairings that you screw into for the upper side fairings broke off from the fairing. And these were "injection molded". We ended up drilling small holes on the side fairing and using small allen cap head screws to hold the upper side fairings to the mid fairings.

  • @TristanDurandBuilds

Great video man,i have seen all your videos, from start till the end and i loved it a lot,in this way i also considered myself that i have seen the yamaha r1 very closely, from many angles,i loved to see how you inspect its built quality.I am from India and i love bikes,i have a ninja 300,i bought it second hand from a owner who totally murdered the bike,no fairings nothing, even the foot rest ,gear selector, bent front alloy wheel, bent suspension pipes, broken radiator, and almost 45% of the body parts were destroyed, the enjine was as usual like the new,i bought did a very hard work to give it back the life, your video made me remember my work,i love superbikes and i just see videos, sad part in my life is...i am a poor person and i cant afford to buy one.
