I stayed here in 2018. It looked great in the Agoda pics but it was run-down, musky-smelling and unappealing. I didn't enjoy it. Everything was worn, chipped, faded, cracked, obsolete, etc. It reminded me of an older hotel in Mainland China. I took pics, but even in my own photos, the room looked really good with none of these issues showing up. Peter's room looks *much* better than the Boss Hotel room I stayed in. It's a bit extra money, but I wouldn't stay anywhere except the Dawin Nana on Soi 4 -- a five minute walk away and closer to Sukhumvit.

Made the same experience. Cheap, but mould and dirt everywhere. Looks like nothing changed, when you look at the pictures exactly.

I like the Darwin too…it’s a bit pricey but it’s like a high class hotel without the frills. The rooms are compact but that’s why I go for it. You don’t get noisy families staying there..I pay extra for the peace and quiet.

@@Oldfogey2014 Service is excellent. Breakfast is...pricey, but delicious. You're right about the room size. It's close enough to the action, yet far enough away to avoid noise

That was a surprise seeing the glass in the toilet! but that's the fun of travel you never quite know what the day will bring

I stayed at the Boss Suite Hotel in 2019, very comfortable.

I've stayed at the IBIS in Nana as well. I'd reccomend it.

I tried to stay at the Woraburi Hotel several times but it was always full with Indian tour groups.

I'm seeing those bathroom arrangements everywhere - as recently as last week, in the Netherlands.

It looks like there is a blind to put down on the bathroom.... That last shot of it, looking over the bed, you could see a pull cord haging down on the right hand side......

Hi Peter, I have an idea for a video if you would like in Hua Hin. Basically the premise is there's too many bars, bar areas right now. They have... The original Bintsbat area. Soi 80 Bars on Soi 94 Wonderland Wonderland 2 Wonderland 3. There are no where near enough tourists and ladies to support them all. Even on a Friday with quite a few tourists in the city, like this weekend many of those spots are completely deserted of customers. While others could have alot. And there's no Rhyme or Reason as to which area will be hot on a given night.

I think Wonderland 3 is supposed to be called Bintabat 2, but the local expats all call it wonderland 3 because it is near Wonderland 1 and 2.

This was one of the 1st hotels I stayed in in Bangkok besides nana plaza

Booked here for October. I hope the gym is open

The Rookie Cameraman, he also left a load of crappy comments about me on Ed Sweeny’s channel as apparently, several viewers told him to go forth and multiply!

The pool looked really shallow. Regardless, a good price and location.

I've stayed there before, for privacy there's a roller blind you can pull down in the bathroom. But the bed is too hard, like most hotels in Thailand.

I’m booked in Travelodge Soi 11 next week. Reviews look very positive. I’m in Pattaya at moment. Originally 2 weeks here and 2 weeks Bangkok. Changed plans only one week here and 3 weeks Bangkok. Do a bit of travelling from Bangkok. Pattaya in my opinion is not the same. Very small area for decent nightlife and it’s seems to have lost that buzz. Not doing it for me this time sad to say.

I stayed there for a week back in February, the aircon filter was dirty and gave me and my girl a sore throat, wouldn't recommend

I made it first..that see through bathroom wouldn't look pretty with me in the morning 😂

That's a good idea the glass in the toilet. Just say a guy has bought a new friend back and she has an abnam first. He could tell if she is a ladyboy or not , before she gets into bed and he realises he had made a ricket lol

There is actually privacy, what you couldn't see in the video is there's a blind that comes down over that glass to separate the bathroom from the bedroom. I didn't find out until after I'd done the video because I mentioned it to staff the same as your comment they then showed me

Well I have spent a month in Thailand, predominantly Pattaya and taking away some fond memories as well as a few disasters which I will probably laugh about later. It's not been as cheap a holiday as i thought. Historically the exchange rate is crap, but it also all the tipping and ladies drinks which you feel subtly pressurised into making. The Thai's are very good at making you feel you have to tip or pay for unasked for conversation. If I was seeking a stimulating conversation I would be looking for a Steven Fry conversationalist LOL. Is Thailand cheap? not form. Can it be cheap if given the right advice .. I think so. It would be interesting to here from yourself and subscriber on if/when to provide ladies drinks and how to avoid without looking like a cheap Charlie and how to avoid tipping unless you are getting exceptional service. I just feel this last month has involved allot of ladies drinks and allot of tipping without receiving much benefit from it. It would be great if you could do an episode on how to reduce costs whilst visiting the bars without penny pinching and spoiling the evening. I have heard some guys saying they want to drink at a particular bar coz its Bhatt 20 cheaper for a bear, but to me it is totally about the atmosphere of the bar and what entertainment it has to offer. I don't mind paying higher beer prices as long as I'm not hounded into buying lady drinks all the time.
