Alan, Considering the shear number of hotels in Bangkok ,I can really appreciate how much research goes into these comprehensive Top Ten Hotel videos Soi by Soi on that stretch of Sukhumvit . Try to keep your sanity while working out the stats.

Hello Will. Thank you for your concern for my sanity 😃. You are quite right that making these videos has become a bit "insane". It is actually not so much the analysis of the stats that has become time consuming - it is the amount of detailed editing that goes into this sort of video. You know my channel quite well. In the beginning I mostly made food reviews. The editing of those videos took a couple of hours at most. The Soi walk videos became a day job in terms of editing and now these top 10 videos have become 2-day jobs. So I definitely need to heed your advice and try to keep my sanity and not keep adding more details to these videos. 😵

Good and useful video, A. II bet it took some time to produce it. I stayed in Majestic suites many times. But that was 8-10 years ago. Prices went up due to the good location . I stayed there only to visit the many temples in the area of course :)

Rude Potato I agree. The Dawin is one of my favorite hotels in this area of Bangkok.

Just finished up a week at The Dawin and I can also highly recommend. Great staff and impeccable service. Will stay there on all future trips.

Nice vid. Good info and the maps help. I've stayed at #6 Hotel Parinda (4:30) a few times, and highly recommend. Cleanest hotel I've ever stayed at - rooms spotless. Furnishings are in great condition, very up-to-date. Good wifi. The rooms I stayed in had separate shower and bathtub. I'm not into baths at home, but used the tub a lot in Thailand - humidity is killer there. Nice pool. Best workout facilities of any hotel I've ever stayed. Location is further away from Nana Plaza than the others mentioned, but it's very quiet. Also, guest friendly (no joiner fee). Guests check in at the front desk upon arrival, and leave ID until they leave. Staff is friendly and wonderful, speak good english.

Petals Inn I have used twice. The Dynasty Inn I have also used twice. I have vlogged them both. Petals is good to keep the costs down. There is a little restaurant there but it is expensive for what it is. The Dynasty is very good but they have put their prices up so I don't use it now which is a shame.

I used to stay at Dynasty often and it was like a home from home and i knew many of the regulars who would meet for happy hour there sadly it's not the same now ,same reason as you increased prices and they made their food portions far too small.

IS IBIS HOTEL guest friendly or not..

Always stay at Phachara Suites. Dynasty beds are very firm.

Yes it is, but it's also a cheap way to spend a night or two in case my favourite Hotels don't have available rooms at the Moment. Did that 10 years ago for 2 nights, 800 Baht a night, including breakfast ...

Can you do a video showing villas

You completely missed The Alt Hotel UGH around the corner from boss suites....pool, gym, QUIET and the best part a FREE shuttle the goes out their secret back entrance down soi 2 to Sukhumvit road and /or to hooters. I usually pay between 900 to 1200 baht per night for the modern an up to date superior room( the economy room Sucks) I often I get free breakfast included.... absolutely the best value in Sukhimvit. I can"t recommend it enough best value in BKK. Chok Dee!! (7.8 on Agoda)

Nana Hotle is an independently hotel ! you can book via their website .

I always stayed at Nana Hotel for me it was perfect, lots of girls there a little restaurant, had great breakfast of bacon and eggs toast coffee, for some reason breakfast was always delicious in Thailand, anyway Nana was always clean, honest and safe, I worked in Saudi Arabia many years and Thailand was my escape from the hot desert of Saudi Arabia, the Nana hotel became familiar in each time I booked there they would remember me and my friends they had a club upstairs where we used to dance drink and you meet new people and tell war stories a lot of Vietnam veterans would go to the Nona hotel also it was cheap and nice and it wasn't like the fancy dusitani in Sheraton or Hilton hotel or Irwin which were very expensive I'm sure that all of that area has changed over the years cuz I was there in the '70s and eighties and lived in Thailand for five years I didn't really like to go to all of those Western restaurants when I was in Thailand because the reason I was in Thailand was to escape the West now when I see this blogs and although convenient Western restaurants within distance of the hotels to me it's not really Thailand I like the pure Old traditional Thai restaurants and foods except for the breakfast bacon and eggs and toast always tasting wonderful in Thailand

Is the nana hotel nice because I’m thinking about staying there because it’s a very very good location

I have stayed at the Dawin three times, it is quite nice. The food at the restaurant is goods too. There is a rooftop swimming pool.

You have omitted NANA Hotel !.....Why ?

petals inn is 10 out of 10, very quite and the best bed ever, guest friendly to, also 7/11 and laundry opposite, i always stay here. have also stayed in dynasty grand and grand sukhumvitte again very nice but is wasted on me as i dont need a pool or gym or fancy resturant.

I would add Novotel and Ibis Styles somewhere to the listing. However, despite the ratings I would rate the Majestic suites way down on the list: noisy, small rooms.

Nana Hotel is good enough for me

Love your videos. Do think The Nana hotel should have had an honorary mention though, just cause of its legendary status!

EatSleepBangkok Hi, I've been going to Bangkok for over 25 years, and for some reason the Nana hotel has always had a certain something about it. I know it's not the best, but sometimes not being the best doesn't matter. It's kind of like Thermae, not the best bar, some ppl will hate it, but through the years, things happen there, stories happen there, and a legendary status starts to happen. For me Nana Hotel, and Thermae Coffee shop, will always have that certain something that can't be bought or explained. Constants in an ever changing Bangkok. ( By the way the included buffet breakfast at Nana is superb)

Parinda Hotel is the best value ! Seeing is believing ........... you'll thank me !

I'm too lazy to go looking for hotels so I always stay on Nana hotel it close to all the place that I want to go like China town, silom, all other sukhumvit soi and much more. I really down like to walk out of soi because it's to hot, long, smelly and small walkway.

How to know if the hotel is a guest friendly or not. They usually don't answer the Emails.

Hello Ahmed. There were a lot of hotels in this soi that I did not include. I think I counted 29 Hotels in this soi alone. I did notice the citrus suites but chose not to include them as they only have 65 reviews. A newly started hotel will often try to get people to write good reviews for them to get noticed. Maybe this hotel deserves a very high rating but 65 reviews vs. the many thousands of reviews - the other hotels had - made me not include it. Hope this explains.

Are they all girlfriend friendly hotel?

...bro.. I have one night in bkk in transit .. I thought I'd find a nice, high-class call-girl, in-call establishment but it seems everything is kind of ... low-end... come on you have to tell us where to go for what we really want to know O_O;;
