Thanks for watching. We really enjoyed our play, as you can see. I really want to get it back to the table soon and also try out the solo variant Alone in the Sand.

Great video. Totally sold me. By the way that is a trapezoid. I teach elementary school and I always turn that shape so it resembles a pit (trap) and show a little stick figure walking into the “trap”. This help them remember.

2 questions. Do you guys prefer this to other tactical games (like how does it compare to a game like 'old school tactical' or '65')? Also do you know if they will be offering campaigns/maps for environments that arent in the desert or Middle East?

To your second point I asked that very question to Mark, and whilst the system is very versatile, they're very busy with Crowbar, Dark War, and Kursk, so if they do another one it's a ways off. The system is very, very good. I think I might prefer it to OST, but to me '65's theme is more dear to me. But with that said.. This system is just so refreshing.

I do like this tactical game better than OST and 65 although I do like both of those. It is just so unique and feels different. Hard to explain but that continuous activation element is really cool with the chit draw and being able to return one chit to the draw cup with the logistics chit. I don't know that they will be offering any other maps at this time. Maybe in the future but I am not aware of any plans.

Thanks for the detailed response. I played a few Tactical type games (very few), and seen a few playthroughs of a few other titles. But it seems that these tactical games dont focus on 'Tactics'. Just move a piece to a strong cover and roll a dice. So when I saw this review, it was as you said very refreshing to see a new take on the tactical genre.

Tom J. A few is the base game scenarios are easily played solitaire. There is also a dedicated solo mission in there as well, if you wanted to start just there

Price is always related to quality. The counters in Armageddon War are big, and beautiful, and there are a lot of them so it cant be done cheaply. Price is also due to the size of the print run. Overall, for what you get, the price is not outrageous. Thanks for watching.
