REVIEW: 2019 Lexus RCF Track Edition (feat Scott Pruett!)

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

FULL STORY: www.caradvice.com.au/748062/2...
The new RC F is an exciting addition to the increasingly rare V8 sports car landscape, and one that now handles better than ever. The updates for 2019 have been incremental, but the cumulative effect of all these changes has made for quite a substantial upgrade over the previous model.
Add to this the release of the Track Edition, combined with Lexus’s move to more closely embrace its Japanese heritage, and I think the flagship range has a very bright future. Now, where is that successor to the LFA?

Fastest version of the F cars around a track sans LFA and extremely underrated. Great review!

I drove one of these two days ago. WOW is all I will say. I have always loved Toyota V8 engines. Now, I have 160,000 more reasons. LOL.

I don't get why people in the states disklike this car. I mean sure, it's not in the best of times to be sold considering the SUV takeover of the US market, but still. For folks who want a decent 2 door car (which are getting to be rare), and who like sophisticated, it's wonderful. I have one and it's a great car. Not crazy fast, but it feels so nice and the power is just enough, for me. I have a 94 Supra TT as well, so between both toys, they both satisfy me.

I suspect reviewers took its track-based features and measured it as a "track car". Against that yard stick, yes of course it's going to disappoint: it's not a track car, it's a performance road car. Seems a lot of the reviewers couldn't get past that idea. For a car marketed as "track edition", go right ahead. If Lexus says its a track car then it's more than fair to judge it as such.

You can visually Supra-thising the lines of this car yes. If I remember right, Toyota wanted the Supra to be affordable. If not, they could directly have started to make a Lexus Lt1 Supra for 150k $. But this wasn't the goal.

I love the look of the car, but the performance, is Subaru STI level. I just saw the video from PD and they could only get it to go to 60 MPH at 5.01 Seconds. Even the 1/4 mile was only 13.4 seconds - Subaru STI times. I would rather save money and get the STI.
