These display bases are very cool! It’s easy to transport to shows to show the chassis.

Hey, Happy Holidays 2 U.........I'm looking 2 build this kit myself. I have a color scheme in my mind 4 quite some time........what an outstanding job on this Caddy U did!!!!!!!! Thanks again & be well....Happy New Year & build on!!!!!!

Happy holiday to you and your family! This was a very nice kit to build. Only adjustment was lowering the front by a pin hole and I removed the two ribs on the back of the trunk lid. Happy New Year!

@@MileHighScaleModeler a few questions though, the red trim ring I dislike the red color…. It doesn’t appear that the red ring is a separate piece. I’m guessing U had to paint the entire wheel to cover the red ring……. Correct? My other question is, U mentioned the A pillar on the kit….. what exactly is the issue with it? I want 2 make sure I know how 2 tackle it……. I do love the different metal tones & bolt head touches U added. That’s exactly what I plan on doing as well. I add bolt heads on most of my builds for added details…… thanks again, BTW, my name’s Chris

@@c.d.scalemodels9198 Hey, Chris. I actually used a circle template found at hobby lobby. One of the circles has a circumference that fit perfectly right outside the red ring. I used my tap/die to punch a hole in masking tape for the inner circumference. I then used a 3/0 paint brush with Model Master ‘Chrome silver’ and painted the line. This model master color matched very well and it is hardly noticeable unless you know to look for it. For the A pillar it was bent/crushed downward towards the dash. With warm water I had to push it back up little by little to make the convertible top fit well to the A pillar. Using warm water helped make the plastic a little malleable and helped not cause creasing or issues with the A pillars and I molded them back to shape. The bolts on the engine all come molded with the parts in the kit. I just used different metallizers for dry brushing them. Hope this helps!

Happy New Year again,Chris here......I am curious where U were able 2 find that Faux Fabrix paint? I seem 2 be having trouble finding it & when I do find it, it seems to be in the red color. Any help would be appreciated......thanks much again.......BTW, I just picked up this kit a few days ago & I'm excited 4 the build of it in the near future!!!!!

Hi, Chris. Unfortunately what is out there for sale via retail is what is left. Scale Motorsport doesn’t have a want to produce more. I have been using the red and airbrushing black over it to get the same color. A lot of guys say the rustoleum texture paint in the rattle can works and looks identical. Excited that you grabbed this kit and hope it’s a great build for you.
