Well, the property taxes are significantly lower. However, if you’re thinking of moving to the beach, get ready to pay a huge amount on your water bill. In addition, home prices are absolutely outrageous within ten or more miles from the beach, and the traffic becomes a nightmare during the summer months.

I have family in Delaware. My two sisters still live there. I have been thinking about moving back in a few years after I semi-retire, so I am just starting to watch videos about the pros and cons of moving back.

From Fayetteville nc moved here in 2014 for work in Middletown for about 14 months then transferred back not for me I like small town and I moved back to Nc Emerald Isle

Yes Middletown has been growing quite a bit

Don't forget to mention that we don't tax social security income and don't have an estate tax.

@IamGroot786 I don’t want to lie to you I’m not sure may just want to verify with a tax professional, but I do think there’s some type of tax break on pensions for people over 60.

As a native Delawarian I am asking you to keep moving along and go somewhere else. Delaware is beyond full. We are at full capacity. We don't need anymore NY, PA, NJ license plates on our over crowded roads. In short we are closed!
