Mike, you’re a rock star! I did exactly what you showed. I was a little nervous til I hit it with the clearcoat but wow!! Like brand new. I could only find the Maquires spray but the finished product looks amazing. And yeah, tell Aspen that the Honda passport is the safer more affordable car and give her that so you can keep rockin the Rover!! -Sean

I purchased a 2008 LR3 a week ago on eBay after test driving it. It has 169k miles on it, was owned by a Land Rover mechanic and comes with over $20 in receipts. I haven't even picked it up yet (waiting for the check to clear) and my obsession is already well ensconced. I'll be watching your videos repeatedly I'm sure.

Hey Mike, I’ve got an idea. Get Aspen a Honda Civic so you can keep inspiring me to do stuff on MY LR3! Seriously though, thanks for giving me so much inspiration. I need to figure out which video had the oil change so I can tackle that too!

only thing i can add, what i do re the head lamp pull tabs, i use a paint pen 1 dot on the tab & 1 dot on the fixing, when the dots line up, the head lamp should fall out. saves on the up a little bit...nope down a little bit..lol

I have a couple of deep scratches in one of my headlights. Watching other videos, they show using an orbital sander to remove them. That is a bit intimidating to me because I’m afraid of causing more damage to other areas. I like your approach and think I might be able to handle that. Thanks for the confidence boost!

Hey Mike! Another amazing job and refurbish! Thanks for sharing. I’m loving your videos! 🏋🏻🏋🏻 For what it’s worth, I’ve been through the light upgrade process a few months ago. Wet sanding them works fine. I did that too. But at night you will get much better lighting if you finish them with a polisher. I used Liqui Moly 2320 Scratch Stop. They still look brand new and lights are really bright at night!

I did do the exact service the Mike did in his video. When I would accelerate quickly especially from a stop it would slip between 1st and 2nd gear and sometimes between 2nd and 3rd. The truck would also shudder when accelerating from a stop. Lastly it would throw a fault and I would get a "limited gear warning" on the display. So far this has all been fixed with the trans service!

It turned out amazing, great job there! My experience with most clear coat is that they are the most durable coating... There is a 2-part clear epoxy in a spray can that works amazing. There best result I've ever had is from using ceramic coating, both clarity and durability. Keep the great videos coming!

I’ve got an H L assembly that’s full of water. The replacement I ordered from E Bay had different bulbs and the connector was not the same as well. The receiver connection on the replacement assembly was short about 6 or 7 pins and would not light when connected. The bulb for the original assembly is an H I D bulb and sells new for a $104.00. So my question is: How many different Head Lamp assemblies are there and how to identify them?

I also upgraded both T10 bulbs with LED. You can buy any brand that states “anti OBC error”. I’ve bought mine from ledperf.com. P/N LEDODBSUP5KWH The 5000K color temperature will match the original headlight xenon bulbs. I’ve also upgraded the interior lights (16pc) + car license plate lights (2pc) with a kit from powerfuluk.com Not the best option if you ask me. They are not cheap and quality is far from OEM. The lights tend to be 1 to 2mm smaller than the originals. I had to silicone all of them to keep them tight.

  • @wafflesquare

I will be sure to look for “anti OBC error” on the lights being sent to us.
