    Awesome! Last night I did a test on my mx650, with a -1.8k motor -52V /24ah lithiun battery - sprockets : 13t front / 80t rear (factory) - 33mph ( 25mph previously)- - I weight aprox 220lbs Bough the motor on amazon as kit, but I do not like the touchy/ sensitive throttle response, almost did a wheelie on my first test 😂*fully charged battery* I had to move forward to avoid wheelies, but I had a blast. It did ran good so far, just looking for top end. Rear sprocket/freewheel upgrade coming soon (65t and 55t) lets how it goes.

    Love the vids!!! Heres a question. I want to do this upgrade but with a 48v 20ah battery but I want a new key throttle too... Is it possible, to use the fast scooters overvolt kit (just the throttle and controller) and wire that to the battery? and still use the li on battery charger?

    Very good video showing how to hook up the lithium battery, I just bought 2 bikes a brand new mx125 and a used mx500, this will help me in the future. Now as far as the lithium batteries go how big can you go AMP wise with that particular lithium battery b4 it won't fit, I'm looking at the 36v 30ah. Thanks

    30 Ah might be tight in MX frame due to height with the welded in battery tray. Best bet is measure before you buy. You could cut out the upper battery tray to fit 30Ah if you need more height. The SX500 frame has more room in the battery box and no welded in upper battery tray. see my other video of all the frames naked: kzread.info/dash/bejne/pWmMqNSSe7PAaaQ.html

    I was very luck, I went on to facebook forum "Modified Razors" and asked the community if any one had yellow MX650 plastics and luckily a guy nearby replied and bought it off him. The other option is to change plastic to CRF50 which they make in many colors and make the bike look more like a dirt bike. They all bolt up Razor MX500 or MX650 gas can. amzn.to/3lSVsMF

    That’s the way to do it, utilize lithium power tool components, base of tool to battery connector and series/parallel wire batteries. It works great and easy to mount. I upgraded a mx350 from 24 to 36 volt, variable speed throttle and 36 v 1K watt controller. I also put the mx650 motor on it and it hits 26 mph with my son on it. Little too fast, so I added dial speed reducer. Because I had the tools at my disposal, it only cost me under 180 total. Needless to say, my son loves it and it all looks stock still, besides the larger motor you can see!

    @BRichSolution thanks for the video man. I have 2 mx650's i got off craigslist for $250 specifically for the purpose of upgrading them with more powerful 2000w brushless motors/controllers combo and 48v 16ah Lithium batteries for the added speed and power ill get out of them. Right now they are 100% stock and the stock mx650 seriously lacks the speed and power needed for me to get any enjoyment out of riding them. Unfortunately so far i only have been able to come up with the funds to purchase the bikes and the 48v 16ah lipos battieries for them and now im broke so im not gonna be able to buy the upgraded motors and controllers for a while till i can get the money together ti buy them. so ive been wondering if i just overvolted the stock motor/controller with 48v lipo can they handle the added voltage or will is it gonna be another case of magic smoke for me when I got to plug it in, an if it dose work will will it even be worth the effort for the added amount of extra power and speed you get? Well now i know sense Your video gave me all the answers i was hoping for. Im gonna go ahead with just the 48v battery upgrade for now , Then i can atleast get some enjoyment out of them in the meantime. Do you know if the stock motor controller will work with a variable throttle if i got to switch out the one that comes stock or will i need to upgrade the motor controller with one that can work with it too?

  • @BRichSolution

    @BRichSolution

    11 ай бұрын

    Yes, the mx650 stock motor and controller can handle the 48V battery. Building the bike in steps is great way to step up to higher speeds. See video for over volt a razor kzread.info/dash/bejne/nYaqu6OCYcvKk5c.html Then in 6 months to a year buy the 1800w motor kit… 2000w motor kit is not worth the money as you will never be able to get the 2000w with that kit because the controller on the 2000w kit only outputs 33A. A fully charged 48v battery is 56V so 56V x 33A = 1848W.

    @BRichSolution Is there any reason to not cut the end off of the battery charge port and wire to the factory plug? I ask because I have a charger for the battery that I already added the XLR plug to and this would keep it all working like factory. I upgraded my MX650 to 36V Lithium, thanks so much... made a world of difference in drive time, but only picked up maybe 1-2MPH. Aside from doing full 48V Battery and Motor Upgrade, is there any easier, less intrusive mod to get the bike up to 25MPH? 35 is too fast for my liking, and the current 18-19MPH is just too slow. Looking for some middle ground, preferably keeping one of the 3 components intact.. motor, battery or controller.--Many Thanks.
