I can’t believe you started it without making sure there was no water in the Intercooler. You risked hydro locking the engine. You also didn’t check the oil to see if there was water in it, next the transmission. I’m sure there was a strawberry milkshake in the transmission.

Checked the oil! Diff check the trans or intercoolers. Good to know for next time

I'm glad i wasn't the only one who noticed that...but oh well, I guess my man got lucky and there was no water left in other places and he didn't ruin the car!

Always excited for your videos. I love the way you turn those wrecked bikes into a almost brand new one. I’m from Bangladesh and I own a CBR 150R 2021 model. We don’t get to ride bikes beyond the 165cc mark as the government limited the cc limit to 165 😢. The flagship bikes in our country are the CBR 150R, R15 V4 and GSX-R 150.

If your work on cars is as impeccable as on the bikes this will be a channel to keep watching. Great work so far. I also respect a man who is not afraid to show that he is a Christian in this day and age. No "oh my G.." on this channel. Respect. Cheers from South Africa.

Thank you Luke! Well to be honest that mustang really kicked my but so I was trying to go for something different in damage. Right off the bat I'm actually very happy the car is in 1 piece and no bodily damage is present! On the other hand Water and Electrical components are like arch enemies soooooo lol... We were very blessed for the vehicle to run and drive right off the bat! Ill let you in on a lil secret already, we have already ripped up the dash and there actually wasn't much water at all in the bottom of the car but the carpet foam was SOAKED. Like dripping wet. GrOsS. Anyway thanks for reading this paragraph. Cheers to you, I'm eager for some dang sauce one of these days

Can't believe you didn't fill and flush the oil and transmission prior to even attempting to start. Have rescued many flood cars even total immersions. If the engine had been flooded and had water in it, and you had started with water contamination you would have ruined the engine. You were lucky. Skill and planning are always better than luck.

Yikes that flood line. I'm surprised you 1) tried to start this car 2) got the car started given the water line. This whole engine was submerged, there's no telling what damage has been done to that engine. I would have drained all the fluids, and pulled the intakes to inspect them to find signs of where water got to, and damage caused. Then checked the block and all the engine seals to see if any water could have intruded into the block. Curious just how bad the rest of the wiring harness is. I've got a '22 GT1 AWD. Good luck!

Why did u start a flooded car without inspecting plugs and changing oil ..😐😐 my heart broke u could have ruined the engine if hydrolocked
Honestly flood “ flood damage “ cars are good if you want something cheap to do your own work on.

When BCM's , ECMs etc. fail at 75-85 on the freeway due to corrosion and ground issues then stray voltage it can be scary,,,don't make that your long term POV.

let's buy a car with terrible residual value but make it one with a flood salvage title.
I would suggest stripping the interior of the vehicle, yes ok it’s going to be a lot of effort but it will help with accessibility to all the electronics and you can inspect it thoroughly which will help in the long run with regards to rust.

That’s too deep to buff out.
Hebrews 12: 16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. 17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears. Isaiah 14:1 “For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land: and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.” 2 Esdras 6:9 “For Esau is the end of the world, and Jacob is the beginning of it that followeth.”
Cut the music, keep it raw.
OMG, another one of these "will it start " vids with absolutely no basic maintenance done BEFORE attempting to fit a battery and turn the motor over ! these make me cringe but i check them out to wait for the wailing "i am an idiot , why didn't i do that first !"
Unfortunately no matter what you do to that car, it's still going to be a Kia when you're done, so all effort, time, and money that went into it were wasted.
