I never realized how many different electronic components and switches etc were all over todays modern cars... no wonder insurance companies salvage these vehicles. Props to you and your brother for bringing back this car from the scrap yard. While I understand its probably cheaper then buying a new one, I couldn't imagine the amount of time and effort required to get this project done correctly. Thumbs up and great job!
Great job! Lotta work you put in to make it right. Look forward to more videos.
very nicely done, thanks so much for posting it!

2 questions, how did you clean the electric connectors and when ordering all the bits, how did you manage to know what they were called and manage to find them ?

Awesome to hear!
Could you tell where did you buy and how much you paid for the electronics? I am thinking on tackling a water / flood project but I have no idea how much the electronics can cost and where is the best place to buy them
this would've been the perfect opportunity to add some sound deadening for road noise , still some top quality work u did here though.

Appreciate that bro! Stinger gang!
If I were to receive a Kia/Hyundai, I would consider it a GRAVE insult.
Keep going
Great work, but being that the stinger is AWD you should get all 4 tires the same brand and design or you might have issues later.

How do you get yourself a flooded car, what website doid you use to get the stinger
The Harman Kardor speaker system? And those underseat woofers didn't sound OK...
If that water line was accurate, there’s no way this car won’t be a hassle constantly moving forward. I’d be curious what the cost of parts and repair was vs just buying one that won’t be a nightmare for the rest of its life.
"Harmon Car Door" 🤣 Not the brightest

Had flooded car. Smell always comes back during hot weather. This is after taking out everything down to bare metal and cleaning them.

I cut out ever inch of moist fabric and replaced it along with a fresh air filter and I ozinated the vehicle for multiple days which kills mold spores in the air of the vehicle which may get into the fabric headliner and such.
You should definitely run an ozone machine inside the car. It will kill mold and other bacteria u can't see.
Nice job, though you need to change both front tires if there is some wear or the diff is at risk.

Correct! I was wrong at first and then just got 2 new front tires!
nice job, surprised you didn't steam clean the carpet before putting it back in. would like to see what you paid for the vehicle and all parts & materials. I know you can't count labor but it would also be nice to know how many hours you spent doing this. You did a great job.

@@cjmedia5017 I finished your first vid and now this one and wondered what your starting cost was. The entry price of $11k is better than I thought so you have plenty of room end up with a bargain ... or should I say your brother will end up with a bargain. I enjoyed watching the before and after of the clean up. Big difference b/t the two. After I post this comment I am going to hit the subscribe button b/c not only am I a Stinger fan but enjoy how your videos are easy and entertaining to watch.
Hey u remove the sponge and didn’t put them back under the mat . u should get some heat shield cover to protect from heat and and reduce road noise
Just for the electronics he spent a fortune. Hyundai /kia parts are insanely expensive and rare sometimes.
Yeah that’s definitely a fucking gang car when I bought my Maxima, I was taking the carpet out and I found a bunch of empty shell casings, and I found an empty shotgun slug and little nugs of weed everywhere

We must work 62 years in iran just to buy this car ! did you believe it?
Didnt even bothered to check fuel tanks they might have water in it .cleaning dust doesn't mean restoration
@Nick210
Жыл бұрын
I’m no mechanic but I’m gonna go out on a limb and say if those tank covers don’t let gasoline fumes out, they probably won’t let water in.

The fuel system tends to fail in floods due to salt water. Even plugs should have been checked before starting ,oil should be changed but dust cleaning was the main restoration.better safe than sorry

Well I made it 1:47 before I bailed because of the crap music. Thumbs down for me and no sub. Really interesting shop vid but shop vids are supposed to have shop sounds in them not the cheeziest, no copyright music you can quickly find on the interwebz.
