A detail easy to miss: Zestial was right in the beat and tone with Velvette's rythm whereas Carmine was in her own singing pattern.And then later, he was in Carmine's rythm! The dude's one of the most ancient active overlords, yet he is able to adapt on the fly where others are stuck in their own worlds (alastor loathes TV for instance). Beware an old guy in a profession where most die young.

I'd say it's more a note against Velvette, than Carmilla. Since Carmilla started the song, and Velvette refused to use any tact with opposing her at her own game, but instead just wanted to barrel over her with her own. Only to be met with Zestial matching her, beat for beat. It's similar to how Alastor took over Vox's song. He came in matching him, and then slowly switched it to be based on his beat. Whereas Carmilla simply stood her ground against Velvette trying to change it, and didn't give her anything more.

Another thing about Zestial. Instead of insulting (Velvette’s tactic) Carmilla to get her to confess to him, he tried appealing to an overlord’s strength, basically asking Carmilla if she’s truly so powerful, why not tell everyone

So Velvette had no confirmed info on how to kill them, even if she would’ve helped

I was fully expecting Carmilla to be another villain, but no, She's just controlling her turf like the other overlords and trying to protect her daughters. And she feels genuine guilt for causing the angels to move up the extermination. I love her character. And "Respectless" is such an amazing song. And Velvette absolutely slays. The way she goads Carmilla into calling her out, and then basically backs her into a corner, and makes ot pretty clear Carmilla knows something about the slain angel. Velvette is so underrated compared to the other vees.

Saw a video that pointed out that there was a reference to Camilla Carmine in Helluva Boss S1 E5 when Moxxie finds Striker's gun, he says, "Oh my crumbs! A genuine Carmine crafted blessing tipped rifle!"

I honestly didn't like Velvette the first time around because yeah, Zestial was right she was obviously massively jumping the gun by preparing an assault on heaven. But since episode 8 showed her and the Vees sitting the defensive fight out, not even sending troops, it seems likely to me that her assault plan was basically "Get the other Overlords to waste manpower and possibly themselves and just pick up the pieces". She isn't a warhawk ready to bite out some angel throat, she's an attempted chessmaster. That might not be the case, but it seems most likely.

Also consider, her hunch on WHO did it, being Carmilla was well, you know, right. Sure she had little evidence except on reading the face of her fellow overlord(and circumstantially, she might have assumed since she is a weapons dealer she has shit in the back that nobody else gets), but she went for it, and her ending the meeting with such rage? I almost guarantee she probably told vox and Val it had to be true. And their goal of getting the overlords to go to a fight with Adam and pals just didn't pan out. She's smart, and knew how to play her cards to get info Carmilla didn't want out. Even if she doesn't have evidence per se.

shes way more clever + observant than we think. if u see the scene of the zestial SSSSSSSIP, as all the other overlords agree, carmilla js stares down, clearly upset. vel is the only one to notice it, and she quickly looks around the room before she puts on a smug smirk as she just realised what happened. she knew carmilla and zestial were close, so she purposefully disrespected him in order to provoke carmilla into a fight...

Like, keep in mind that her plan basically boiled down to "Find the physically strongest overlord and the most well armed overlord who I think probably killed an Angel for the first time in history and then make them angry at me and then hope I can convince them to fight Angels and not smash my face in". There's a reason I called her an attempted chessmaster.

Carmilla Carmine is also referenced in Helluva Boss! In the bloodmoon festival, the gun Striker was gonna use on Stolas was called “Carmine-Crafted-Blessing-Tipped-Rifle” by Moxxie

Velvette is the darkest timeline La Brava from MHA. She never found love in life, and after ending up in Hell she decided to make that everybody's problem.

I used to kill bugs and leave them their to send a message to their brethren, but stopped when I figured out bugs are really stupid and also cannibals and they'd just bring more friends in to eat the bodies

Damn it, you're right.

Not sure how effective sending a message is to bugs. You're talking about creatures that have a 20% chance to die just because nobody realised they were there. I'm pretty sure more bugs will see anothers corpse and think "Well at least i've got food for later" rather than "Oh this place is dangerous", because I don't think there's anywhere that's particularly safe for bugs. Unless you're dealing with eusocial bugs like ants and bees, their go-to strategy for threats is just attrition, so it's all or nothing with them.

I haven't quite done the thing Nifty described but I have left dead roaches where they are just so other roaches know they'll get killed too if they go there. Mostly if it's in a spot I really want roaches to stop going like the coffee pot.

I noticed across all overlords, and characters with power seem to downplay Alistor's return in some form. Carmilla shrugs it off like a non issue, Zestial acts like learning more would be a wasted effort, Vox tried to make him look non-threatening, etc. I'm not sure how much of it is egotistical or what. I would be super curious as to why he was gone and returned.

I think the main point is that most Overlords have decided it's best not to get involved with Alastor if at all possible. It's unclear what his motivations are and he's known for taking down other Overlords seemingly on a whim. Rosie and Zestiwl seem to be the only two on friendly terms, due to being one of the oldest remaining Overlords and sharing several mutual interests.

Episodes 4 and 6 were like the really crazy ones for me, besides the finale which is of course going to be peak.

Don't leave the dead bugs! They attract more bugs and before long you have hulls and scuttlers everywhere.

So i'm confused . How come Alicia's reactions have all the songs muted ? Because almost every other reaction channel who's watched Hazbin Hotel had the songs playing .

I get the whole killing bugs thing, but some you just don't want to kill, because you have to clean up a really big mess afterwards. We have something called Wanzen here, that have hard chitin and if they are hurt they will stink so bad, even if it's just a leg torn off. These are highest priority to carry outside unscathed, or else your entire house will smell like those fuckers

Can someone explain to me why Camilla was outside risking being killed and not bunkered down with her allies and family? This looks like a plot hole that wasn’t addressed in the show. I suppose she went outside, potentially because her daughters had gone outside, or maybe were on a delivery at the time of the extermination. But I’m just throwing ideas at this point.
