    Thank you! I'm printing on a special photo paper that works really well in resin because it doesn't absorb any liquid, it's also bonded so it doesn't contain much if any air, which is a cause for papers to float up. Also, I'm embedding the photo in a thin layer of clear resin first, so it can't float up into the layer with the inks. Let me know if I can be of help in any other way :) fran@little-windows.com Here's the link to the photo papers, in case you're interested: www.little-windows.com/collections/special-papers

    Hello! I don't know what A5 size is but our online Photo Cropper is amazing for getting any digital photo resized and cropped. It's got small and medium sizes which match our resin molds, but can be used for lots of other things as well. Have a look at this tutorial, and you'll see how it compares to Photoshop and GoogleDocs/MSWord in terms of resizing photos. You can try the Cropper for free to see if you like it, it's a limited 1" square with rounded corners for this free version, but if you decide you'd like is you can purchase by page layout. It's a 1-time fee for forever-usage from any computer or mobile device. Have a look here: www.little-windows.com/collections/photo-cropping-software fran@little-windows.com

    Hiya! Im new to your channel and just wanted to know a few things if you can help me please? Im not in usa.. do you have an alternative to the photo paper you sell? I have tried photo paper and sealed around edges and front to back which still gets soaked by resin or leaks colours. Also, the ad you have on your website for paper.. the image shows an A4 paper with various sizes of images, what software do you use to scale your images? Lastly the printer you use? I have a canon inkjet but quality is shockingly bad no matter what i do. (Budget printer!) Im looking to upgrade. Youd be really helping me out with some guidance. Many thanks in advance ❤

  • @LittleWindowsResin

    @LittleWindowsResin

    Жыл бұрын

    Hi @gamer4ever1234! I'm happy to help. I only sell direct to my customers but I can ship anything you'd like. I've tested hundreds of photo papers over the years and I think you'll be happy with ours - both the white, which comes in 4x6" and 8.5x11", and our Clear Photo Film, both types print well on inkjet. I'm sad to hear your Canon isn't printing well, is it a photo printer or an office printer? If you're interested, here are some I recommend: www.amazon.com/shop/littlewindowsbrilliantresin/list/2MTXLV8TR1PSG?ref_=aip_sf_list_spv_ofs_mixed_d As an alternative, I do offer Pro Printing, where you send a file and I'll print it for you on our Special Photo Paper for Resin. Now onto our online Photo Cropper, you can try this out as we have a free test version that lets you crop your images to a 1" rounded square that fits our molds, bezels, blank Rubiks cubes, and punches, or can work for any small project. This free version is limited compared with the paid versions but it'll give you an idea of how easy it is to use. If you like how it works, you can buy a version that fits 4x6" paper, 8.5x11" paper, or both, and you pay once for forever access. You can use it any time from any computer or mobile device by logging in at little-windows.com - nothing to download or update - and you'll save your cropped files once you're done (we don't store any of your images or info). You can see how our cropper works compared with GoogleDocs/MS Word and Photoshop in this tutorial, just scroll down for the video: www.little-windows.com/blogs/project-center/resin-keepsake-photo-bangle-bracelets Once you've had a go, here's a link to the paid versions: www.little-windows.com/collections/photo-cropping-software Have fun and let me know how your projects turn out :) fran@little-windows.com

    Could you please share more detail on the waiting time before adding alcohol inks and the percentage of the resin and the white ink while mixing please?

  • @LittleWindowsResin

    @LittleWindowsResin

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hello Living Man! I'll do my best. The timing for adding alcohol inks varies and you'll need to experiment a bit to see the effect you like. If you want wide dispersal of the inks - like you see in traditional petri techniques - you'll want to drip your inks in pretty soon after pouring your resin so they can work their way down easily. If you're going for some of these special effects you can wait longer, I'd say I let the second layer of resin set for about 30 minutes before swirling in the white colorant, the longer you wait the more defined your patterns should be. In terms of the white ink ratio, it's pretty forgiving, so just start with a couple of drops and add more, allowing the resin to set up and thicken. Again, I mixed my white colorant into the remaining bit of resin left after pouring, and you don't need much. I wish I had a precise answer for you but I just went for a nice thick consistency. Please let me know how yours turn out :) - Fran

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hi Nohnoh, so sorry I missed your question. If you're printing on the Special Photo Papers from little-windows.com you don't need to seal it, but any other paper will need to be tested before resining. Cut a little piece and put it in water for 30 minutes or so. If it bleeds in the water, it'll bleed in resin too so you'd have to seal it first. You can do this with a sealer like Mod Podge, or laminate your photos. Hope that helps :) - Fran

    Hello Diana! I've had these for quite a while and the color is still amazing. Alcohol inks are known to fade over time, but this happens with certain colors more than others. It also depends on the kind of resin you're using, how concentrated your applications are, and how exposed your pieces are to UV light, so you'll have to experiment a bit to see how yours hold up over time.
