Once again, Fran hits another home run with a great video! I've never used your cropper software before. I'm a big fan of Adobe Photoshop and InDesign so I layout my pages on there and print them. I have a template setup but it took me a while to get it right for two-sided projects. This definitely would have saved me a lot of time. I'm regretting never trying one of your photo cubes. Maybe next year. Thank you Fran for all the great craft options you came up with this year. I think my favorite is the Creation Station. I've tried to do something similar at home but it never worked well. This is going to help me work and stay organized without harming my pieces. You are the BEST!

Hello Diana, best of luck with your business! Brilliant Resin is a 2:1 pure mix epoxy, and it has great surface tension for projects like these. It can be mixed in batches as small as 9ml (6ml Part A + 3ml Part B). The height of your dome will depend on the shape of your base. For example, small round pieces dome higher than larger square pieces because of gravity's effect on the resin. Also, the longer you wait to dome (not too long of the resin will be too thick), the higher your dome can be. On these flatter pieces the dome height ranges from 2-3mm. Does the picture ever fog up with time or turn yellow? I noticed when I make them they turn yellow in the sun or fog up. What do you recommend mod podge or something else? Mod podge leaves brush lines on the pictures.

Hello! The fogging and yellowing is most likely from the paper/sealer/resin combination you've used in your past projects. Mine are super clear as I'm printing on our Special Photo Paper for Resin, and using Brilliant Resin to dome them. How did you warm the Resin up? I am new to these projects ,and do not want to Buy a bunch of stuff If i dont know how to warm the resin.I have several things in my cart with a 15% coupon hope uyou get back with me in the next couple hours

So sorry for the delayed reply, were you able to find everything you were looking for? There are a couple of ways to warm up Brilliant Resin - make sure you're only warming Part A - the one I use most often is to measure out my Part A, then microwave it for 7-10 seconds (depending on how powerful yours is), until it's just warm to the touch on the outside of the cup. You'll notice that Part A is now nice and thin with no bubbles, so your Part B will blend more easily, and any bubbles mixed in should rise to the top during the 5 minute post-mixing rest time. Then just skim off the top of your mix if you see any bubbles or dust settling there and pour away! NOTE: our resin is FDA compliant for food safety contact, please do not heat any other resin or other chemicals as they can release harmful fumes. I hope that's helpful :) fran@little-windows.com
